I read on the Official website about packages to be a Mascot. I had not realised that you had to pay to be a mascot. My nephew was a mascot in 2012 and he was just chosen when he go to the top of the list. I wonder if there is an age limit?

My daughter was young pirates mascot last season & that was just a case of putting her name in the free ballot, she was lucky enough to be one of the names pulled out.

I thought there was a Holtby youth tour too?
Not sure where that package ended up though.

not unusual for Clubs to charge for mascots - some prem clubs raise thousands by this

Rovers do both.
You can pay for your child to be a mascot or you can join Young Pirates and hope you are lucky enough to be drawn out of the hat.

My son was a Young Pirate for a few years and out of the blue he was invited to be a mascot for free. Still talks about it 25 years later.
My grandson who is not a young pirate was a mascot but had to pay to be one, well he didn't pay!! He was over the moon by the experience.
That sums up the question quite nicely I think.
