The EU have agreed that closed migration centres are needed, to help solve the immigration problem. These are to be built in unspecified countries, on a "voluntary" basis. So, good luck with that. Anyway, I`d like to volunteer Nobby`s back garden. He`d soon forget about the mole, with 1,500 Libyans trampling over his Lobelia.

We've got the tents at the Mem ideal for six and a half days a week except for occasional Tuesday night.

Don't joke about these things. The house opposite me was recently sold. Apparently, the 'people' who bought it planned to turn it into a home for migrants, with twenty rooms, each about 5 square metres, with two shared bathrooms. The German government will pay 500 euro per month if you house a migrant. Simple maths show that this house will return 10,000 euro per month ! I think the house sold for 380,000 euro, so that is quite a return. However, the local people have put a stop to it. Basically, there is a lot of money to be made by people who don't give a sh1t.

How did they put a stop to it, Nobby?

Over here, if the powers that be decided to resettle 50 Eritreans in the Reading Room of the British Museum, I doubt if anything could be done to halt them.

Another site about 600 meters from our house was going to be the site of another migrant centre, until it was pointed out by a smart neighbour that the ground did not have a Bomb Clearance Certificate. Basically, this area was bombed heavily and any ground has to be scanned and checked for unexploded devices.
