It’s all ticket for the Gasheads Wow, that is pathetic. Just listened to that Wurzels song - god it's dire. Rodney Marsh, Uncle Albert, Benny Hill and Nick Higgs/Nigel Farage's dad should stick to what they know!

The Wurzels are unmitigated sh1te best avoided at all costs. I've never really understood how a Scottish bloke ended up being the voice of the West country.

Just for the record Tommy Banner is a lovely lovely man. Very polite and sociable. He is a football fan. I'm not sure but his home town club he "supports" is not one of the very fashionable Scottish ones. Yes locally he is now known for attending a team across the river but I have been in his company many times stood in fine weather and foul on the uncovered terrace at Eastville watching the Rovers. He is a fine musician in a great local band how he gets away with being Scottish in a west country band goes to show how good he is. I was once in the middle of nowhere in the Alaskan outback and talking to a local who asked where I came from. Answering Bristol UK he immediately asked if I knew Tommy and the Wurzel. He had never heard of Bristol Sh***y nor Rovers for that matter but thought the Wurzels were a cult act well known on the USA university circuit.

Used to sit next to the white haired one in my Eastville days, don't know his name sorry, but was great to have a chat with a half time

I still think the music is sh*te; especially as our six fingered fiends have adopted it

I'm sure they're all lovely but sorry I resent the image they present of the West country (like I said particularly because they're not all local - I think the youth would call it "cultural appropriation") and the music is unimaginative crap.

now pay on the day www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/2018/july/forestgreenroversticketsonsale/Tickets for our pre-season trip to Forest Green Rovers this Saturday are on sale from our hosts or on the day. With the Club Shop at the Mem being closed from the 18th July - Rovers supporters will be able to purchase tickets either online from Forest Green's site, by telephone (0333 123 1889). Alternatively fans can buy tickets on the day at New Lawn, however they will cost an extra £1 and could incur queues therefore Forest Green are advising advanced purchases. The North Stand has been designated to Rovers supporters for the fixture, which is a covered standing section of the ground. For ticket prices and further information - please click HERE.

Why not, a west country bloke is supposedly the voice of Scotland on this forum.

Tommy Banner is a fine man, always stops for a chat when I see him. I don't blame them for finding a niche market and earning their living like this. Sometimes it's surprising how good musically people are but because they don't express it it is not known. I was amazed to read an interview with Alice Cooper who said he thought one of the best guitarists in America and the person many well known rock guitarists went to for tuition was Glen Campbell. Anyone remember Pete Budd and the Rebels playing at Eastville in the 60's before the game, on the centre circle?
