Ok. My hand is up You want to be told what you did wrong. Here goes...
The title of the thread is implying our new shirts will have no quarters. But to be fair to you, you follow that up in your post saying "Judging from the advertising photo with it the Quarters have gone". Of course you are not saying its a fact. But clearly your presumption/judgement is wrong. I am not sure how you can presume/judge that we wont have quarters when clearly (as pointed out in the very 1st reply to you) that the shirts in the advertisement is our training shirts. The players cannot wear our new shirts for the photo when the new shirts haven't been released yet.
Reason why people are calling for this thread to be deleted is because its a pointless thread. I mean no disrespect with saying that but its clickbait (knowingly or unknowingly) for no actual purpose. It would be like me posting a thread saying we wont be wearing shinpads next season, because I seen a photo from a training session and the players were not wearing shinpads.
I'm with the OP You're looking way too much into this. Considering the amount of crap posted on this forum where 99% of it is literally useless and completely off topic, at least this will make a bit of sense where people can talk about the kit. Fair enough. If you think a photo of 3 players wearing the training shirt and therefore warrants a thread to imply that our actual playing shirts will not have quarters then like I said, fair enough.
I am not looking way into it as you suggest. I wasn't even going to bother to reply to be honest as to me, the OP made a genuine mistake and therefore, this thread is pretty much pointless. But the OP asked to be told what he did wrong. As no one had done so at the time, I thought I would show him respect with giving him a response. My response may be a bit long, which might be why you think I looked too much into it, but I wanted to try and be clear and respectful with my response.
I agree, there is a lot of crap posted (not just this forum). I am sometimes amused how some threads get to 30 plus pages! I have stated a few times that good threads get unnoticed while lies/rumours type of threads get all the attention. So I fully agree with you. As for this thread will make sense where the kit can be talked about, I be surprised if it turns out that way because the details given by the OP. Really in an ideal world, if this thread could be changed about just Bristol energy being a sponsor, as they are sponsoring the new family stand and the shorts of the new kit, then that would be factual and people can discuss that. But this thread has been made (as the OP genuinely believed it to be the case), purely to imply we wont have quarters due to training shirts used in a photo. Not a great thread starter, if you want people to take it seriously, if you know what I mean.
I get where you are coming from and the OP with his response too. But surely you get why others don't agree?

Considering the amount of crap posted on this forum where 99% of it is literally useless and completely off topic, at least this will make a bit of sense where people can talk about the kit. Thank you Gassy. The very first post in reply answered my mistake within a few minutes. Thus my mistake was false news. At the time of writing this there was 665 hits. They all read the post and realised it was a mistake and did see the need to reply as there was no mileage it taking it further. Good for them, but some plonkers find the need to make this as long as the UWE thread. I hope this is the last post on the matter but I'm not convinced unless the plonkers get their way and it's deleted. I hope this don't apply to me poorblue as all I done was answer your question.
I am now confused though. You have contradicted yourself. You made the thread. You then realise after the 1st reply that you made a mistake. You then hoped people not bother replying to it as its fake news. But you then reply to it yourself asking a question asking what you did wrong? While hoping people don't see the need to reply. See why I am confused?
So to be clear, do you want people to ignore the thread or not? If so, why wouldn't you want it deleted then? At least no one can respond to it. And at least people dont need to be insulted by being called a plonker.

Didn't we have this last year, too? When people were misunderstanding the expression "No Quarter Given".

Haha - I do agree, tbh I saw your post as a bit taking the mick which is why I came in as everyone said it was clearly a mistake. Although, the fact that we're now discussing in depth about where posts should go and whether its right/wrong goes to show how ridiculous the summers can get. And the World Cup has only been finished for a day! F*ck me we need a signing and quick

Many thanks AF.
It may have been too late for me but at least my fellow gas heads (well those who have not yet logged into gas chat for their daily torture) will not be subjected to the same distress as I was.
UTG!

The new season really, really, really cannot come soon enough... You might regret saying that when we are slagging all the players off as not good enough after the first game. That's what usually happens.

Delete thread please mods. Already being discussed in UWE Stadium Land thread too. Yeah that makes perfect sense, delete a thread about the kit as it’s being discussed in a thread about the (non) stadium.... Regardless of where it is being discussed, this thread is misleading and wrong.

Bristol Energy choose their words carefully. They have always spoken about 'involvement' with Rovers and have studiously avoided any direct reference to sponsorship. Not surprising really; with £8.4 million losses and Bristol Council ditching them in favour of British Gas whose terms are more favourable!
