I wouldn't be surprised for one of our strikers to be more experienced. We've got no experience up top now. I do prefer us signing players on the way up and perhaps one of the 2 I expect us to sign will be that. But what experienced strikers are out there? I seen Mcgoldrick was released by Ipswich but looks like he is impressing at Sheff utd on trial. Any chance of Darren Bent? McGoldrick would have been quality, but saw he was on trial at Sheffield United and thought better of it. I think his wages could be beyond us too. Bent? I haven't seen a lot of him over the past couple of years so hard to know what level he is at, but I could see him scoring at this level potentially. Could Yann Kermogant do a job for a year? He might be 36 now, but it was only the 16/17 season he was scoring 19 goals in the Championship. He is without a club at the moment. I noticed Yann Kermongant but seems like it may have retired. Bit misleading. |

bent would be cheap wages😬 Well he's being linked with Burton. I can't imagine there is much between us ok the wages front. We outbid them for Alex Rodman according to Clough. |

Well bringing in Jermaine Easter helped us out a lot at times, an experienced head at the top of the pitch could be exactly whats needed for us, always felt we missed a link from the midfield to the top when Easter left

What about jay Emmanuel Thomas? Free agent , splits opinions and needs a kick up the backside , surely dc could work his magic on him? He is fantastic when his mind is right.

Omar Bogle anyone? Barely played for Cardiff in the Championship so can't see him getting any game time in the Premiership so they maybe looking to get rid. Spent some time on loan at the Posh last season.
Also not a big relocation for him unlike all these players playing up North and want to stay up there apparently!

Christian Doidge and Billy Kee would be ideal in my opinion not my first choice my any means. but I would say this is our price range and what we could afford and both score goals for fun.

Would probably cost 750k+ and wages could be a problem but Bogle would be a great signing. Good age (24), 6ft 2in and a decent goal return. Hasn't played as many games as you might expect thoug for a 24 year old.
Of all the players mentioned Omar Bogle and Ivan Toney would be my choice IF we can afford them.

Had a great record under Paul Hurst at Grimsby and has since lost his way. DC could be the man to get him firing again. Good pace and strength. |
