I see from the match report that Tom Nichols replaced himself at half time. Which one of him played best, as neither of him scored?

Nichols replaces Nichols!!!!!!! At the break, Darrell Clarke made five changes, introducing Smith, Tony Craig, Leadbitter, Sam Matthews and Tom Nichols in place of Slocombe, Tom Broadbent, Alex Rodman, Sercombe and Tom Nichols. perhaps the way forward given the number of strikers we have?

If we've worked out how to clone people then please clone someone other than Nichols, unless, maybe, it was an experiment, and they figured no harm done if it went wrong.

Love your comment imgas, perhaps we could clone Nichols until the experiment does go wrong and we get rid of him. Then we could clone Bennett and give the opposition defence hell, rather than Nichols putting us through hell.

I see from the match report that Tom Nichols replaced himself at half time. Which one of him played best, as neither of him scored? Even if the two of played together I doubt either would score. He's not even scoring against smaller teams, if he needs his confidence building, perhaps a game against a bunch of school kids ( juniors, obviously, not secondary, don't want to make it impossible for the lad)

What odds would I get for Nichols to get the league one golden boot this season?
Never mind, I've just flushed the fiver down the loo, it seemed a better use of my money!

Not sure how anyone thinks all this Nichols bashing is going to help the lad or the team. Criticise by all means, but it's like a bunch of school bullies.
Yes, he hasn't lived up to expectations, but we know he's affected by social media. His confidence will be on the floor before the season has even started.
Talk about get what you deserve!

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. A professional footballer, especially a striker, needs to be mentally strong, they need to take the negative and use it to their advantage, surely he should have added motivation to prove others wrong. It's part of the necessary skill set, so much of professional sport is in the mind. I haven't seen any evidence that he's any stronger mentally than he is physically, if social media is having a negative impact on your job then get off it. If he can't do the job then he soon won't be, he'll be in non-league having to make ends meet like the rest of us. He should be on the bench or loaned out, but the departure of Harrison and Gaffney gives him the opportunity, it's over to you Nichols (if you're reading this!).

I really want it to work out for Nichols, and was hoping he'd find his scoring boots in the friendly games, to set himself up with more confidence this season. Unfortunately, it hasn't happened, and even my patience is beginning to wear thin. If he's affected by social media, maybe he should cut down on the photos of his Louboutin shoes etc, as it's a bit like rubbing fans' noses in it, when he's not delivering the goods. Yes, I know I don't have to look at his pics, but in the same way, he shouldn't look at social media comments, if it affects him. Fingers crossed that he has a eureka moment against Exeter.

I agree with much of what you say, and the bit about it being all in the mind is kind of my point. A confident Nichols would be a different player.

I actually had no idea he posts stuff like that. I imagine it's more for his friends than the fans as that's how twenty-somethings live their lives.

Besides scoring goals how did Nichols do? Was he involved in setting up the goals? Did he come close to scoring?
