Besides scoring goals how did Nichols do? Was he involved in setting up the goals? Did he come close to scoring? He wasn't convincing in the Melksham game,and didn't show that he was grasping the opportunity. I agree, you only have the right to showboat and show off your wealth, if you've shown us that you deserve to. I bet if he told himself that he wasn't going to use social media again until he'd scored 5 goals this season, he'd get them in the first 5 games. |

I really want it to work out for Nichols, and was hoping he'd find his scoring boots in the friendly games, to set himself up with more confidence this season. Unfortunately, it hasn't happened, and even my patience is beginning to wear thin. If he's affected by social media, maybe he should cut down on the photos of his Louboutin shoes etc, as it's a bit like rubbing fans' noses in it, when he's not delivering the goods. Yes, I know I don't have to look at his pics, but in the same way, he shouldn't look at social media comments, if it affects him. Fingers crossed that he has a eureka moment against Exeter. I actually had no idea he posts stuff like that. I imagine it's more for his friends than the fans as that's how twenty-somethings live their lives. To be fair, he did also post pictures of himself in the gym whilst on his holidays! Tom is aware that fans will see his photos, as he hasn't restricted viewing access to his pages. Chris Lines didn't play last night as he was injured - hopefully it's just a knock. |

Maybe he should just leave, offer him plus cash for stockley to exeter, id rather have two strikers and one of them not be nichols than have two strikers with nichols being one of them, he's proved time and time again that he has absolutely zero confidence and tbh if you want to be in this side then it simply isnt good enough, misses every chance he gets, how we thought paying 300k for him was a good idea i'll never know! He doesnt instill any confidence in the fans either, if we were 1-0 down and we bring on nichols, nobody expects him to score, everyone will say wtf you bringing him on for. I get that people want him to do well but the boy is gutless, weak, doesnt create chances, doesnt get into goal scoring positions and doesnt have the usual workrate of most of the players that DC has brought it during his time here, i expect him to be playing conference football in the next couple of years.

The only photos Nichols uploads are ones of him with his GF and playing for Rovers, if posters take issues with those they need to get a grip. On the pitch TN must know more than us that he needs to start scoring, but so did James, there's no magic wand to make that happen. |

....... at the Wimbledon AFC away game ( 17/2/2018) I was stood behind the Gas dugout and got great views of Gas players warming up, throughout the game heard and saw various exchanges between DC, Stewart and the subs. What struck me was the total " couldn't careless " attitude that Nichols displays.There is a contempt and arrogance about the man.
Is he a grafter.No.Is he a fighter.No.
He came on as sub, 15 mins to go.Did he put in a shift.No.
Someone told him years ago he was good and he believes it.
The man is paid to score goals, no one should forget that.

Nichols has been poor, granted, but to say he doesn’t give a toss is yet another example of posters over reacting. If he didn’t give a toss he wouldn’t be anywhere near the team ! Dc wouldn’t stand for it. He may get better , he may not , but making silly comments about the lad like I’ve read on here is pretty childish. Like myself I bet most of you lot taking the water have never kicked a football in a professional capacity, do reign it in a bit as it’s getting really boring , people like to say how much we get behind our players and take the water out of the way city fans abuse theirs mind !!!! Pot and kettle spring to mind.
