Think we all expected 4 goals from Peterborough though no?
Craig shocking defending for the 2nd goal, embarrassing

Long way to go this season but I am annoyed we have gone into the first game like this! Important few days transfer wise! If we do not sign a permanent striker with half proven talent at very least then I think we have every right to kick off massively and ask questions big time!

FFS. This side is so imbalanced.
Locks is out of his depth next to Craig, who isn’t a centre half, absolutely no ball winners in the middle.
Clarke at LB is giving us no outlet and is to slow to overlap with Rodman who is also
Sercs isn’t a winger. Bennett is. And he’s up front.
Nothing upfront in Nichols and Bennett together.
Desperately need some square pegs in these square holes. A big CB who’s a leader 2 forwards and an extra LB is a must.

This is sounding similar to Exeter, playing decently in parts but can’t defend for absolute sh** More like going though the motions as we haven't created a single chance.

Sounds like we're playing ok. But clearly we still can't defend any balls into the box away from home.

I expected us to get shafted a little, it's just a bit harder to take when it actually starts happening instead of thinking about it'll happen.

Tell that to Millwall fans who watched him play there for years. If we have a problem defensively (and I think we do) it's failing to stop the crosses coming in.

Harrison's Ipswich are 1 up too. Gaffney scored for Salford. [edited] We have Nichols up front! Just the facts before anyone lambastes me!
So, these "facts" don't seem to be helping you much...
Harrison's Ipswich are losing...
Gaffney never scored a winner for Salford...

So how would you have started, with no CF's and Reilly not fully fit/OC suspended I can't see DC had many options, Locks would have always started and he gave away the goal anyway. Here you go...
This was based in THD and Lines being unavailable. I selected Reilly as he was involved vs Exeter so presumed he was available to start today. 541 when defending and Upson can cover too if a full back gets caught out too far forward. When attacking, Kelly and Leadbitter can support with width and the creativeness of Bennett, Sercombe and Matthews will be a very good threat to not allow Posh to push too many forward. It gives us security at the back while we should be able to cause issues for Posh going forward. I was unsure on the back 3 CB's if Broadbent should be in there for his height at the back as lost Harrisons defensive qualities and also his heigh would be great for our set pieces.
______________Smith____________ _______Clarke_Lockyer_Craig______ Leadbitter______Upson_______Kelly ___Sercombe_Matthews_Bennett___ ______________Reilly____________
So how would that formation make Locks & Craig mark f'ing Godden, which is the only reason we're 2-0 down?

Hamer making a good point about we are not playing square enough. Instead we are launching it early and its too easy for their big guys to win it instead of Nichols. Why are we launching it to Nichols? Crazy. With all that quality in our midfield and we are launching it from defence over them to Nichols. We are just inviting the ball back at us and no surprise we are 2-0 down. Madness.
Now Nichols and Bennett get booked. Cant afford for Bennett to see red.
