Even though I said away from home? Yeah. It doesn’t matter where we play. We can’t defend crosses.

Nichols received as many yellow cards as he scored goals last season. 1.

Tbf we’ll be fine selling both target men, not replacing them and playing Nichols up front on his own. Don’t know what all the doom and gloom is about... Don't know who to blame for our failure to make a decent forward signing...but between them the Board and DC and recruitment chap have f*cked up this close-season good and proper. This new defensive coach needs to earn his keep...central defenders who cannot defend crosses As for new Head of so-called recruitment.... A striker who does not score from Walsall hardly likely to turn things round.

Did we lose 4-1 at Peterborough at the start of the 2006/07 season?
Got promoted that year...

Here you go...
This was based in THD and Lines being unavailable. I selected Reilly as he was involved vs Exeter so presumed he was available to start today. 541 when defending and Upson can cover too if a full back gets caught out too far forward. When attacking, Kelly and Leadbitter can support with width and the creativeness of Bennett, Sercombe and Matthews will be a very good threat to not allow Posh to push too many forward. It gives us security at the back while we should be able to cause issues for Posh going forward. I was unsure on the back 3 CB's if Broadbent should be in there for his height at the back as lost Harrisons defensive qualities and also his heigh would be great for our set pieces.
______________Smith____________ _______Clarke_Lockyer_Craig______ Leadbitter______Upson_______Kelly ___Sercombe_Matthews_Bennett___ ______________Reilly____________
So how would that formation make Locks & Craig mark f'ing Godden, which is the only reason we're 2-0 down? Well for starters, 3 CB's would make a difference. And if you read all of the comment, you would see I said I may have Broadbent in the back 3 but not sure who to replace. But you asked what I would play and I have provided you with my answer and I am sorry but I know its all about opinions but I would be surprised if many would argue with this based on what players we got available. Our weakness is at the back and up front. I have provided extra defenders to keep us solid and enough creative players with going forward to make a better goal threat that what we are showing.

Think we all expected 4 goals from Peterborough though no? Craig shocking defending for the 2nd goal, embarrassing Poor ol Craig too short and legs went years ago...big wages...poor signing and said so at the time.

Gaffney would walk into this team.

Harrison's Ipswich are 1 up too. Gaffney scored for Salford. [edited] We have Nichols up front! Just the facts before anyone lambastes me!
So, these "facts" don't seem to be helping you much...
Harrison's Ipswich are losing...
Gaffney never scored a winner for Salford...
Unfortunately, though, the third one is still a fact, we do still have Nichols up front - and with that there is no hope! Looking forward to seeing what DC does about it at half-time, but his hands are tied by the club having sold our best forwards and not replaced them, I'm sure DC would like to be playing someone other than Nichols.

What’s worse, our defending or Hamer’s co-commentary? Dreadful all round.

BBC match stats says we've had 9 shots so far. Is that right? Only 2 on target mind but 9 shots?
Posh has had 5 with 3 on target.

DC is never prepared for the new season. Always requiring more players. Is this because the later you recruit, the less time they are on the payroll and therefore the less money spent? Our defence seems unfit for purpose and our attack lacks punch

Even though I said away from home? Yeah. It doesn’t matter where we play. We can’t defend crosses. The first goal was a carbon copy of northampton’s equaliser last season where you wondered why the striker ever got his head to it
