Bakayoko is there today apparently. Travelled with the squad.
Says a poster with 11 posts......... Talk to anyone on the official supporters coach and they’d tell you the same.. Ken Masters had a chat with us and said exactly what I said in the other thread. I mean, he was there today sat next to Wael - but what do I know I only have ‘12’ posts.

Midland,DC is our one consistent attribute at the present time. The worst stadium in the league other than Mcclesfield, the Dormant Colony project, the lack of any plan to re-develop the Mem and the seemingly total lack of communication are NOT down to him.Even if we beat Accrington 10-0 it won't alter the aforementioned concerns.Think if he left we'd be right up the creek. He's had a few crap signings;Nichols and Luke James being the most notable but he's also had some major successes and I for one applaud what he's achieved against all the odds.

He was quoted 750k. Dont know where the extra 250k came from. No, he wasn't. Mark Cooper confirmed he has had no enquiries and the figures quoted in the media (750k) would be nowhere near enough anyway. listening to managers though pirate is the equivalent of believing everything your estate agent says. We won’t get Doidge but FGR will do well to keep hold of him. They must of had clubs sniffing.

what a disgrace today but was it expected after the preseason we had once again everyone will be looking at us and laughing at us everyone saying we need a striker but we haven't a defence either goodness knows what d c has being doing since the end of last season whatever it is it's been a waste of time and effort the only way to get us moving forward with any hole of staving off relegation us to get rid if dc the sooner the better in fact tonight would not be early enough wake up owners and fire tord and look at what he us doing to our club dc out dc out now Wondered how long it would take you to pipe up no doubt if we win next Sat you'll be back in hiding until the next defeat. Go on I'll humour you what has DC done to us exactly that deserves the sack 90 minutes into the season ?

As far as getting players, in why is that all DC's fault when we've now employed a HoR, perhaps it's down to the fact the ALQ's won't supply sufficient but of course it's easier for you just to blame DC.

God this is all so negative - last year we lost opening day 4-1. This year only 2-1 massive improvement . Loads of shots around (if not on) goal. We always lose the first game and so what if gaffers has scored two leagues down, and doige has scored in the second division, neither of them have scored a goal today in the first division. It's the fist game of the season and we lost 2-1 away - would have liked to win but didn't.
I guess we will get a striker in the next week, but I also assume DC has some confidence in who he has already. 16+ attempts can't be so. Ad, just a little more composure needed.
Well done for going to the end lads. We'll done DC for putting on a raft of really attacking substitutions, well done Tom Lockyer for your goal.

Lockyer scores. Posh havent been great but we just not done enough in final 3rd. We would look back at this and think wasted chance for some points. Just goes to show if we’d started with a forward up front instead of a pretty boy waste of space we might have got a point or three. DC has said he’s running out of patience with TN so fingers crossed we’ll see the back of him soon. Wasn’t there today , who had a good game and why who a bad game and why ?

DC sounding very frustrated and down. "No positives" from today for him. Well, it's all his own doing. We couldn't defend crosses last season. And from last week's friendly defeat and today's attempts, it looks as though we still can't. We have been desperate for a big central defender that puts his head in where it hurts.for a long time And is all we got was the bloke Craig. Who really isn't up to much. Someone like Bolger would be a huge asset to this team.

Yeah, only opinions. I thought Craig was weak in the air, slow, weak against a big man and non existent at organising the back 4. What little I saw of him I'd give him a bit of the final point but agree with the first 3. He seems to know the dark arts but those will be negated in some games, when his weaknesses are exposed in other ways (e.g. height or pace). A very strange signing. Very old school signing - experience but not sure what else. And very much against our usual transfer policy - a long contract for an older guy & said he'd come for game time (clearly expects it, and gets it). Mass majority of Lge 1 teams seem to have 2 big, physical CBs. Physiology of CBs has changed a lot since Craig was a lad. He's very small really. The only 1 we have is young & mysteriously has hardly got used since the winter. DC likes to bring in veteran players who's legs have gone, then insist on playing them because they will calm the youngsters and the experience will rub off. He persisted with that Lawrence bloke (when he was fit) and also Easter (when he was fit) He is now playing Craig, and unfortunately he doesn't seem to get injured very often so he always bastard plays. Lines, before anyone says it, was a known quantity, his legs hadn't gone, and for some reason DC doesn't seem to worry about dropping him. What I find amazing, and a complete dereliction, is that the club sold our only 2 bigger forwards, then did f@ck all about replacing them until far too late. Talk about sleep walking to disaster, what we're all these additional members of staff doing in the close season, counting sheep? Its a f@cking disgrace, saying we can't get in forwards from poxy, league 2 sides because we can't afford them. Utter bollocks, and if the owners don't want to support the manager with a decent kitty and budget they should sell up and f@ck off back to Arabia and run their f@cking bank.

Tom Nichols had a good game today, we just played the complete wrong style of football for him. We have a good midfield but all we seemed to do in the first half is hoof the ball to him where he’d get beaten by the bigger defenders. His work rate wasn’t too bad though, could have been better but he played the best I’ve seen him. Linesy had a poor game, as did Rodman. Sercs had the occasional flourish as did Bennett but they both were in their wrong positions imo. If they swapped both would have performed better. Sercs is not a winger and Is better suited playing just behind the front. We had no height in defence and this was shown for both goals , however we were ultimately unlocked in the midfield for both since that’s where they won in the first half however that changed in the second. Matthews & Reilly both looked good when they came on & so did Mensah who held the ball well. The formers should definitely start next week but for who? Lines & Rodman in my opinion.

Why don’t we sign doidge, bagged 2 today FGR want £1m+ for him. Not a chance of us signing a player for that money. And nor should we. We've got to do a posh and almost set our stall out that we are a feeder / development club for clubs higher up the food chain. Be open that we are good at getting bargains, improving them & then letting them go to higher teams with higher wages. We might as well openly admit it rather than hide it under a bushel. Then attract players on that understanding until we get a stadium / trg ground where we can keep hold of them & make them want to stay

I'm so bored of that excuse. He's played in a team with wingers, with Harrison and with Gaffers. He's played as one up top, 2 up top and in a front 3. Just exactly what style of football suits him? Table football???

Sorry guys & gals im not sure if this is the appropriate thread thread really? I had no interest in the game today as my brother passed away last night. I’m devestated he was a true gashead for 50 years +, I’m not after sympathy I just wondered how I would go about getting his name mentioned at next weeks game? I will be there out of respect for him, another true gashead gone the tote end in the sky! Would anyone be able to put in touch with the right person for a shout out next week? Please PM if you can? UTG.
