If DC wants him that's enough for me. If DC had wanted him he'd of signed him early in the season, like the other seasons. It's been clear from what DC has said that he hasn't been able to sign who he wanted to. Poundland it is for the most important cog in the machine! But DC didn't even need him until two weeks ago. And Walsall may have only just made him available as they've signed another striker.

At the risk of sounding obvious, for a club like us the time to pick up Doidge was a couple of years ago & give him a try. Or maybe when his contract runs out / down, but even then it's a bit late for VFM. Pointless buying a player on fire, 1 div below us. That's just not us at the moment (well, hardly ever has been). We did try and sign him 2 or 3 years ago. He turned us down. Probably read this forum first.

If DC wants him that's enough for me. True just like he wanted Nichols Which was enough for everyone at the time he signed. So are we now going to slag off every potential signing until DC leaves because he signed Nichols?

Upcoming week is going to be defining. Will be so disappointing if Amadou Bakayoko is the only one we get through - if we do, of course.

Don't worry, Nichols will score next week.
Just thought I'd say it before anyone else throws out this blind faith statement next Saturday.

We pocketed 50k short of £1m for Harrison and Gaffney - it's going to cost us a lot more if we get relegated! Not saying it should be Doidge, but we've got to spend that money to stand still. All very well the people saying we could pick up cheap players from elsewhere, but we've had a whole preseason and haven't managed it. The owners / management have messed up, now they will have to pay either with their wallets or gamble with our league one status.

He's not going to leave cos of Nichols, but not being able to compete for better signings and no sign of movement on the Colony will water him off. A panic buy will not help. DC will move on when he's ready and when the offer is right for him. There are bigger problems at the club than me whinging about Nichols believe me.

what a disgrace today but was it expected after the preseason we had once again everyone will be looking at us and laughing at us everyone saying we need a striker but we haven't a defence either goodness knows what d c has being doing since the end of last season whatever it is it's been a waste of time and effort the only way to get us moving forward with any hole of staving off relegation us to get rid if dc the sooner the better in fact tonight would not be early enough wake up owners and fire tord and look at what he us doing to our club dc out dc out now

Rumour mill on twitter and social media suggested £150k but Imgas' point still valid

A striker who can score say 15 goals a year will expect more than £2k a week in wages. Look at Gaffers who reportedly doubled his wages to £3k a week by going non-league.
