I will be very surprised if we get more than 5000 on Saturday going by the bad vibes towards the owners/DC/Players/anybody else Bet you £50 we do! I'll be back mid October, live just up the road. I'll come and see you!

Why ! Me and my family have no stand to which we have purchased season tickets to watch the football from. If this issue is not sorted during the coming week we will be asking for a full season ticket refund and will go to games on a pay on the day. All of this is totally unacceptable when a family of working class rovers fanatics are so disenfranchised by the lack of a simple statement from the club . Question ? Why is everything so hard to get any information.. players injuries. Training ground. Stadium progress .it's 2018 not 1973 without fans such as us you have nothing please ROVERS communication let me down and that was in the eighties I agree with everything else but player injuries is down to DC and no one else. That's the way he's always operated.

I called the shop last week who advised that those who pay cash at the turnstiles will have to queue at the ticket office and buy a ticket before the game. If the queues are massive how many will just give up and never come back? Er, none. They wouldn't be gasheads if they'd give up on the club so easily. This is a pointless thread.

If we generally average 9000 gates and half are ST holders then we have a lot of fans pay on the day. A lot of these will be casual fans who make their mind up to attend the night before or day the game, some coming just a handful of times each season. if the matchday ticket office still has just a couple of windows open and big queues I bet a lot won't bother again and word will spread to other casual fans who will in turn be put off. The club need to get this right at the first home game. A lot of people consider themselves gasheads without going to every game, some will attend most games, some will attend half, some will attend just one or two. We cannot afford to lose any fans whilst City continue to grow and grow.

Simple question; clubs with electronic ticketing options (including the sheeds). How many have pay at the turnstiles, or do you need to queue separately at a ticket office?

Or instead of paying on the day, which is no doubt easy for the fans but let’s face it probably something the club could do without, perhaps they want to increase ticket sales through their website.
I always buy mine on the website individually as due to work and having recently moved to Southampton, I can’t get to every game.
If the club has more revenue through it’s website it can increase takings via sponsorships and advertising. It’s also easier and quicker on a matchday if fans have tickets ready.
I think this might be the eventual path the board will take regards tickets. That is the way most big clubs do it after all, and there’s a reason for it. POTD is great for casual fans yeah, but i’m sure even they could stretch to buying a ticket online and having it posted to them instead of abandoning the club.

How many clubs still sell tickets in shops.
None of the big clubs will I expect as they are over subscribed with ST holders and members all over the world

I think the Teds have the option to buy online, and print the ticket out at home - otherwise, you have to queue at the ticket office. There needs to be several operators selling tickets, at different windows, in order to keep the queues moving quickly - not sure that we have that sort of set-up at The Mem.

There should still be the option to buy tickets in the shop. Not everyone is comfortable doing financial transactions over the net, plus, once you get someone in the shop, there is every chance that they would be tempted to purchase something else!

I don't really see an issue with making people purchase tickets from the match day ticket office, as most clubs with these facilities do that. I guess it depends on how many people are selling and how quick the process is.
Rovers have to make this more clear before the game on Saturday though so we don't have people rocking up at 14:55 with cash expecting to pay at the turnstile. It's already going to be chaotic enough without that adding to it. Hopefully most will give themselves plenty of time because there will undoubtedly be teething problems.
Perhaps in the future people without a season ticket could also get a card which they can purchase single match tickets against online before the game.

Pay a nominal "fee" to join - Let call it "Club Rovers" for arguements sake. Then you can load on any tickets you want or if the club offers 10 ticket deals or half season tickets this can be loaded on as well. Would be nice to have it offer 10% off everything in shop and food etc. As you would hand the card over for the discount, the club would know who is and isnt spending money in the club and if they are spending money, what that money is on. This would also allow for personalised marketing...
I might have gone to far... I'll get my coat.

When I was up at the Mem Saturday I noticed a new ticket kiosk outside of the away turnstiles obviously for visiting fans to purchase tickets, so perhaps the club is more on the case than supporters give them credit for.

Imagine overloading people with mind boggling information. Agree completely. We need to make sure this all works OK and get a season under our belts with everyone happy with it first. I'd be very nervous about Saturday if I was Tom Gorringe. Potential for some ugly/embarrassing scenes if things don't run relatively smoothly up to kick off.

Probably wouldn't be too difficult or cause too much extra delay to sell someone a couple of tickets with their beers. It might also encourage more people to go to the club bars before the game instead of elsewhere.

I think will have between 8 and 9 thousand. 10thousand plus is reserved for big teams on the cup or end of season games that matter. Would imagine Accrington bringing about 300 which is about 20% of their home gate.

So it looks like the new east stand hasn't arrived yet. I know they said it was quick to put up, but surely 4 days before the game is cutting it a bit fine.
We already know the SW stand is delayed, and people will be moved to the south stand instead. Will the people who have a ticket for the NE stand be directed back to the family terrace? Presumably some of them will need the seat they paid for and will therefore go to the South Stand. The away fans who bought seats will need their segregated area in the south stand. That's a lot of people being redirected to the south stand.
Combine that with a new automatic turnstile system that has never been match tested, it could be a fun Saturday.
