Seems like we’ve drifted from one meltdown to the next this summer. Almost a Greek tragedy supporting Rovers at times. and in the way this forum works.... Are you suggesting/hinting that we have an experienced Greek International No.9 lined up to sign? The 6ft 5in Greek lad Athanasios Papazoglou was on trial against Melksham.

Information like this should be announced officially not by 'someone at the club' and certainly not by a trouble maker like you. When you grow up you might begin to understand. Don't blame me for such information being leaked but not made official by the club. You also might want to go careful with attacking the poster. If you are a loyal fan then anything that comes to your ear from anyone inside the Club should be treated as 'privileged information' not something to be banded about and which could affect a sensitive situation. Just imagine if you tell your best friend something personally sensitive and he goes and tells everyone something which you might have wanted to tell others in your own good time. How would that make you feel?

Darrell isn't happy:- He said: "I am disappointed we didn’t get it done yesterday. "We were hopeful that we would, but I am sick of being hopeful if I am honest with you. We will see what happens. “We need two number nines - it is obvious. "We have sold 60 goals in the last three windows so they have got to be replaced. "We need firepower. "You can see we have got capable players which can open teams up and play teams but we have got to put the ball in the back of the net." Where did you get that from? EP website - latest article.

what can we do? no doubt the board will get stick but for what?
We apparently agreed a fee, presumably agreed personal terms, but couldn't get the medical done because of the player

I can't work out whether this is concerning or not. Not sure he was the answer. Am sure something is better than nothing though. Am also sure they will spend as little as possible. Am already sure we are in for a tough season. Know what you mean, his stats arent great, but does have potential being so young. We are so weak up front. Are there better options out there? Possibly. Will the club spend 500k-750k on a striker? Probably not. DC ought to go after Doige or Cole big time if this falls through, and be P!ssed if the board dont make it happen. Bang on. As DC has said we have lost 60 goals and trying to fix that by spending 150k on 9 goals in 93 games is a pathetic statement of intent from the owners. Get your wallets out and invest in the team rather than bean counters!

Afraid you won't find that out.

I know he won’t, but really wouldn’t blame DC if he handed his resignation in.

It’s such a shame how things are playing out. It could have been so different had UWE happened.

Ever thought it could be as simple as his family don’t want to relocate? Walsall to Coventry isn’t mega far, also their a bigger club, better stadium, a club going places, we are stuck in a ramshackle ground no new stadium on the horizon no training ground not much to tempt him is it?

Bet he’s gutted he turned down Leeds. Even if he got the boot he’d of got a lovely pay off Edit - Massive shame we (THE BOARD) aren’t rewarding his loyalty by actually investing some money, which is the whole point of owning a football club.

Got to agree, it doesn’t look good. Perhaps this will be the catalyst for the owners to decide to really support DC on getting the striker he wants. Somehow I doubt it.

Perhaps the club need to identify who leaked the news Bako was about to sign and there reasoning for doing so and who then leaked he wasn't signing rather than shoot the messenger, assuming GGMI didn't post this on FB at 9 am then he's only passing on what's on social media in any event. The ALQ's have now managed to make Rovers a laughing stock in less than a year.
