Well I will certainly think twice about driving 140 miles if there isn't an efficient multi window ticket system in place. Yes, of course I could order in advance, but sometimes it doesn't work like that and a decision to go is only taken on the day.
They will need to sort a system for the casual fan and avoid those queues but I went online got my ticket and there was no queue at the online collectionwindow. Perhaps they should have used that one as well to sell tickets. But as I come from 100 miles away I will now always do it online and not trust to POTD because I usually know if I’m coming or not. For the club, they will need to sort it out because I guess we are a fairly traditional fan base who still want to POTD and if they don’t change to online sales then the club will miss out on attendance and I guess they’ll do anything to avoid that. UTG! If we get say West Ham at home in the 2nd round everyone will need a ticket. I think people just need to adjust their mindset and usual routines. Soon POTD will be no more when we have full houses in the championship

I did wonder if this might happen. Although far more attended on Saturday (I assume?), I imagine a lot had ordered tickets in advance. Whereas tonight I would imagine many turned up on the spur of the moment or hadn’t bothered to order in advance. Waiting for the people in the ticket office to print off the tickets on Saturday did seem to take a while, which was fine with only half a dozen in the queue, but if hundreds were trying to do this then I can imagine there would be problems. With 15/20 mins to kick off the queue was out through the memorial gates, down Filton ave to the lights and then on to glos road just past the Methodist church. Fair play to those that persevered but will many casual fans be put off coming in future? The club can't afford to lose the casual supporters and needs to find a better way of managing pay on the day - a portacabin with just a couple of staff clearly cannot cope. Fans are going to have to change their habits. If we have an all-ticket cup game in the 2nd Round everyone will need a ticket in advance
If we progress to The Championship or whatever, there will be few and far POTD games.
If we build a new stadium, I imagine the turnstiles will be fully automated.
Not saying you are blaming the club, but some fans will, but not everything is the clubs fault. The club give out advice and the fans and club need to work together
