Damn that's another of my favourite products that now caries a health risk ,Another weed killer that comes in sachets carries various health warnings and uses the same active chemicals ,also interesting that the eu are allowing it's continued use and yet they banned the use of a dye used on maggots ,it seemed a small fine considering they used duff info

The name 'Monsanto' will soon disappear as they have been taken over by Bayer for 66 BILLION DOLLARS !
Bayer is a huge German company. We have Bayer Leverkusen. If you have ever been to Leverkusen you will realise that Bayer basically own the whole city. Being such a massive company, Bayer have a lot of 'pull' with the German Government. Without even looking, I can pretty much guarantee that like Mercedes, BMW and VW, they pay no, or very very little Corporation Tax in Germany. The name 'Monsanto' is tainted. In the future you won't hear it. Instead, especially in Europe, you will only hear the approved name Bayer.

Huge multinationals have no morals about anything.
When caught out they offer an occasional apology, and a bit of compensation for those worst affected by their worst actions.
But basically they carry on doing what they want, pay very little tax, and generally rule the world however they like.
Big business has overtaken politics.
Governments can't control them. Politics is in fact irrelevant.
We are in a new era where our vote means nothing any more.
And China is a case all on its own. No one can stop them.
China is currently buying up land in Africa and then governing the territories they "own" at the rate that the British East India Company would have been proud of. We all thought this Colonial thing stopped decades ago, but it's back, and it's big.

Study Finds Cancer-Causing Weedkiller in Popular Oatmeal, Cereals, and Snack Bars A study of dozens of popular oat-based breakfast foods delivered sobering news this week when almost all of the products examined by the Environmental Working Group (EWG) were found to contain the chemical glyphosate. "We're very concerned that consumers are eating more glyphosate than they know," said Scott Faber, vice president of government affairs at EWG, in astatement. Glyphosate is classified as a probable carcinogen by the World Health Organization and wasĀ listedĀ last year as a chemical known to cause cancer by California. Out of 45 products "made with conventionally grown oats," all but two wereĀ foundĀ to contain glyphosate. EWG also tested two organic brands, detecting the chemical in five samples. Thirty-one of the breakfast foods were found to contain levels of glyphosate that were higher than the level that EWG deems safe for children. www.commondreams.org/news/2018/08/15/glyphosate-its-whats-breakfast-study-finds-cancer-causing-weedkiller-popular-oatmeal
