Smith 5.5 shaky, cant kick with his left foot, dont know why Slocombe was dropped, maybe DC wants to keep
both keepers match fit and looked at the Crawley game as an ideal opportunity to play Smith.
Leadbitter 7.5 Its good to have Danny back and looking like he's back to full fitness.
Lockyer 6.5 average, he really needs a big man to play alongside him.
Craig 6.5 same as Lockyer,CB is the only position he can play these days as LB requires too much running around
and his legs cant do that any more.
J. Clarke 8 a really good performance by JC ,full of running. I still think he isn't really a left back or indeed a league
One player but against modest league Two opposition he did all that was asked of him.
Matthews 7 a bright and enthusiastic game, good on the ball, always involved,he just needs to work on the final
ball but is a great prospect.
O. Clarke 8.5 M.o.M. OC back to his best, a swashbuckling performance capped with a trademark goal.
Lines 7 a decent display, he is still worth his place in the side.
Rodman 5.5 not involved enough and what he did do had no end product. No improvement on the
likes of Broom and Moore both of whom were deemed not good enough.
Bennett 6 Too lightweight to play in the hole, he would be better employed wide on the left.
Payne 7 grafted well and gave the Crawley defence plenty to think about, he always got stuck in and his
presence and movement gave Bennett the relatively easy chance to score.
Subs: Upson n.o.l.e
Sercombe n.o.l.e.
Crowd 6 sparse
Ref 5 he obviously had a new whistle and was hell bent on using it at every opportunity.
Crawley 5 bog standard league two team.
