With the closure off the Supporters Club shop why don't the club arrange for tickets to purchased at a few local shops. Doug Hillard Sports would be one useful location. Good idea. There was a Macron shop I passed earlier this morning on Wells Road driving down the hill to turn into West Town Lane by the sports centre. The shop was near that junction by the tyre place. I was surprised to see it there to be honest! Not sure how long its been there.
Surely seeing that they are a sponsor for us, that will be a good place to sell tickets for South Bristol Gasheads, saving them having to go to the Mem for bought in advance tickets! Also it will give that shop extra people visiting the shop to boost revenue for them too.

Yes, just up from, and on the same side as, the Tyre Centre (aka KwikFit) and what used to be the Happy Landings.

As someone with a busy life and living outside of Bristol this ticket situation is a right pain, not everyone lives in Bristol or has an extra hour to spend waiting to get in the ground. I understand the need to run the club more like a business, and we become more like customers, but it doesn't seem sensible to make it more difficult for your customers to buy your product, maybe it's fine when there are plenty of customers, but what about out next bad patch when we're back to crowds of 5k?

When were we last at 5k? Maybe we should stay in the stone age, just so we don't upset the likes of you?

Also, I potd on Saturday, and I walked in with no trouble at 2.50, you must have been very unlucky to have been queuing for a hour to get in......

Don’t reckon the owners are planning to go back to times when we had 5000! Gradual investment and evolutionary change ! 😉 And even when clubs in PL, Championship and League 1 have space in their stadiums and use the electronic system they still do a POTD but you do have to queue up and get the ticket. Just because they have spaces and are not full doesn’t mean they stop their electronic system. I’m afraid it’s seen as progress and you are right it can be a pain, but you won’t turn the clock back. UTG!

Seemingly not? "Tickets may be purchased over the internet up to 5pm on the day before the game. Your tickets will be available for collection from the ticket office on the day of the game. Please arrive at the box office no later the 10 minutes before the match start time. Up until 2 days before the match, your tickets will be posted. For example Thursday for a Saturday match." Given there's an issue buying tickets on match days why do the club have to charge a 75p admin charge + postage of £1.50(?) when surely a £1 would cover both costs? That’s just stupid. What do the red lot do on the other side of town, they’ve been cashless at the turnstiles for years and even before the redevelopment? We appear to be ignoring technology and suggesting going back to a system we used 30 years ago of people driving to various outlets with tickets. I’ve got a membership for the rugby. At the start of last season I got a card through the post. Anytime I buy a ticket, it’s just loaded straight onto the card, which is scanned contactless style. To buy on the day for the rugby, you simply go to the ticket office hut, and get a barcoded ticket which scans through.

UTG! I remember the days when you paid cash to get on a bus. Nearly every one now uses cards and all get on the bus quicker and arrive at destination faster because of. The new Metro Bus is completely cash free, only pre-purchase tickets allowed to board the bus. Cash free society looming

What's wrong with going to the club shop or picking up a phone? Does not work for the 1000 or so who decide on the day whether to go. So still loose out on the casual /decide on the day fans. Not everyone lives close to ground. Still if they can sort out ticket shop at ground then issue goes away. But I suspect it will cost the club a small number of fans whilst etickets print at home will encourage others. Winners and losers I suppose They can still do it on there phone on the day. Most people have there phone with them and internet on it. So once it's running, they can just buy it on there phone, then scan it. Also Tom said there will be 8 windows selling tickets on the day. Which should be more than enough, for the ones who can't get them in advance or use the phone. I agree until everything is working, more could have been done. They could have left some cash turnstiles etc.
