With the closure off the Supporters Club shop why don't the club arrange for tickets to purchased at a few local shops. Doug Hillard Sports would be one useful location.

It's a good idea, used to be done when we were at Twerton. I remember buying tickets in the sports shop in Keynsham.

Are you not able to print your own tickets off when you buy them online?

Are you not able to print your own tickets off when you buy them online? Seemingly not? "Tickets may be purchased over the internet up to 5pm on the day before the game. Your tickets will be available for collection from the ticket office on the day of the game. Please arrive at the box office no later the 10 minutes before the match start time. Up until 2 days before the match, your tickets will be posted. For example Thursday for a Saturday match." Given there's an issue buying tickets on match days why do the club have to charge a 75p admin charge + postage of £1.50(?) when surely a £1 would cover both costs?

What do the red lot do on the other side of town, they’ve been cashless at the turnstiles for years and even before the redevelopment? We appear to be ignoring technology and suggesting going back to a system we used 30 years ago of people driving to various outlets with tickets.

Tom G posted on twitter that the turnstiles have the functionality to scan barcodes and it shouldn't be too long until they will be automated. Allowing us to both print off at home and scan your phone.

Allowing us to both print off at home and scan your phone. As I said above, great news but shouldn’t this have been in place prior to changing to a cashless system? I suggest that Tuesday night indicates that it should have been.

Fans have to adjust their mindsets as well, its not all on the club Some fans cant even understand you can still pay on the day, but have to go to the ticket office first. Imagine implementing more complicated aspects, when some fans cant comprehend or just want to moan in some cases about what has changed

You can see how difficult it has been for fans to grasp with the first change, they are going to get just as confused as the requirements change during future updates. Lets see if people have learnt in time for the Pompey game.

Lets see if people have learnt in time for the Pompey game. It was deliberately done in an incremental business. Had it been done wholly before the season started we still would have had winges/confusion. Can't win either way can they

Not everyone can buy online, quite a lot of older fans probably don't use computes. OK perhaps only 4% or 5% don't use computers but we do need a solution for these fans or else we will loose them and some will have been supporting the Gas for years.

The solution for them is go to ticket office pay cash, get given ticket. Only a problem at the moment because can't cope with everyone doing that for the cup. When 95% go online the other 5% won't have a queue at ticket office.

The incremental way the club are doing this seems sensible. Fans will have to get used to the idea that it will soon be all automated. Some won’t like it and I can understand why but change happens and we either accept it or accept we remain in a 1990s time warp. Even here at Bournemouth we have long queues at the POTD windows. And, it is very sad, but a few long standing fans I know don’t go now because they can’t afford the season ticket and they don’t want the hassle of getting tickets on the day of the match as they aren’t happy about doing it on with the computer. The higher you go, istm, the more expensive it becomes and the higher the likelihood of losing some of your traditional fanbase. It’s the price we will pay for becoming more “professional” which we have to be if we have aspirations for the Championship. I think the club have handled this transition well which is not to say some don’t like it or there aren’t any problems. UTG!

What's wrong with going to the club shop or picking up a phone? Does not work for the 1000 or so who decide on the day whether to go. So still loose out on the casual /decide on the day fans. Not everyone lives close to ground. Still if they can sort out ticket shop at ground then issue goes away. But I suspect it will cost the club a small number of fans whilst etickets print at home will encourage others. Winners and losers I suppose

So it's a very small section of fans that we're missing out on.

If we went up this season, pretty much everygame will be all ticket at The Mem
