Tell me about it. I mentioned Allo Allo to a girl working behind the bar the other day and she didn't have the faintest. Born in 2000. What the hell? Some young bar staff do know their 70s sitcoms though - I’m sure I heard one mention Are You Being Served? Yeah, I asked for an alternative to roast potatoes and she offered me CHiPs or M*A*S*H.

I had beans on toast . Heinz Beanz (don't know when they changed from beans to Beanz, but very clever) on Richard bertinets very fine sourdough bread, toasted. I shall try a sausage roll at the Southend match. I had stopped buying food at the mem when it dawned on me that a Chicken curry pie was suitable for vegetarians! You mean there is no actual chicken in them? I think that breaks some sort of advertising rules

Don't usually bother with food at the ground, as I am always make sure I eat before. However, was in a rush last night, so purchased a meal deal for £5 (Piglet Sausage Roll and a coffee). Have to say, I didn't realise they had that offer and after trying the sausage roll, I was very impressed. Now, I wouldn't call myself a sausage roll connoisseur but probably the best I have ever had, very tasty! Also had a drink in the clubhouse before the game and the Thatcher's Haze was the best I had tried too, not sure if it was a new barrel or something but tasted gorgeous. Tried one for the first time last night as well and it was fantastic if not a bit too filling tbh! your meant to put it in your mouth

I don't like either thatchers haze or thatchers gold. The dry, traditional, and cheddar valley are good ciders but are now becoming difficult to find in Bristol. Strange that thatchers promote gold as 'what cider's supposed to taste like' when it doesn't taste like what cider's supposed to taste like and they have other brands that do taste like what cider's supposed to taste like.... Very complicated, think I'll just stick to real ale.

Reminds me of a joke; Q) What have Weston* and Las Vegas got in common? A) They are two places where you can easily pay for sex with chips *Weston can be replaced with Newcastle, obvs.
