I can see why the ref gave the red. Hard to tell from the tv angle how high he was or where he hit their player.

The lack of arguments from our players (including Lines) after the red card came out indicated to me it was probably the right decision.

Slightly extended highlights- show the miss by Sercombe, a decent shot by Nichols but not the last minute save by their keeper.

The red looked far worse on the night form the East Terrace, but there were no real complaints from anyone so I guess that the Sky angle just doesn't show the foot going up over the ball like it looked (from where I was standing)last night. Certainly looked like Lines dived in and his foot when over the ball. clear red from the East In your opinion PP. It's clear from the video, as at the time from the East, that both players dived in. Lines was clumsy, probably due to the fact he had just come on. The reaction of their players got him sent off.

Hard to see if it was a red from that angle or not. I thought it was a red when I first saw it.
The defending from Lockyer was awful. Lead in his boots for his first and then the swipe at thin air. How easily Craig was barged out the way as well was awful. The pair of them need to either sort out their partnership or get a new CB on loan and pair him with Broadbent or Clarke.

His reaction in getting up immediately after red is shown speaks volumes. Clumsy yes, but far from a clear red. As I said, both players guilty of going in with both feet.

Looking at the highlights again it looks like Smith might well have saved the second goal but Craig managed to divert the shot over him into the empty net.

How the hell Lockyer gets picked every week is beyond me.
