We are 7 points behind the best team in the league... too much They can't win every game. They've got some tough fixtures coming. Couple of draws for them and couple of wins for us and it's all change.

We are 7 points behind the best team in the league... too much 15 goals less than Barnet. Even Telford who are bottom with only one win this season have scored more goals than us.

Dover worthy of a point today. Maybe we were too complacent?

Dover worthy of a point today. Maybe we were too complacent? Think that was a bit of it. Switched off for their goal. They'd hardly had a sniff second half before the goal.

Wasted a hell of a lot of chances there - have to wonder how much faith is given to Matty Taylor. Looked off of the pace today, and his goal record speaks for itself. The service is now there, but the personnel up front just aren't good enough if we're going to get out of this league.
I'd say either give Ellis or White a go, or bring in another striker. Probably the latter.

I think we will regret taking the cheap option on our strikers, really happy to be in touch after a difficult start but it needs addressing soon.

reckon it was the curse of the manager of the month! Or the curse of the useless Matty Taylor. How many points have his inability to do his job cost us?

Thats what happens when you miss chances at 1-0 up.
Matty Taylor has missed sitters in 3 games where we have been 1-0 up, two of which we ended up drawing. If he doesn't start scoring he needs to be moved to the right wing or dropped.

None of them are good enough

Still unbeaten.
I've still got this feeling White will be given a chance and will show what he can do at this level before long.

As watered off as iam at not managing to beat bloody Dover DCs recent results have earnt him the chance to give our under performing strikers more time as he has indicated he will despite the club stating there are funds available.

I said at the start of this thread, i would play Harrison and Cunnington upfront with Tayor in the hole behind. Taylor is not physical enough in this league to lead the line, because of his size he is always gonna struggle to retain possession of the first ball, where as he could be a lot more clinical with the space coming onto knockdowns etc. Missed two great chances today to kill Dover off.

Don't get me wrong, after the last few seasons of being at the Telford end of the table. I will be highly delighted to finish sixth. Next season we should buy a goal scorer and win the thing.

Another point gained!
Lee Brown stopped a attacking second half (until we conceded!). Dave Martin stopped playing, Tom Parkes positional sense is diabolical, Lockyer allowed the cross for the goal, Matt Taylor won't get 10 goals this season.
Would have left Cunnington on - strange sub!
Apart from that - very average and a few faults from last season creeping in!
Improvement and three points Tuesday and we'll be back on track!

Dover worthy of a point today. Maybe we were too complacent? No, just a lack of quality in the team. Too many players going for glory and too many looking for long passes when there are easier options etc etc Only Sinclair showed some composure today and only Martin was prepared to take a player on to create some space for others. This kind of result has been coming for a while. Did say on another thread this week we need better quality footballers at the club if we are going to challenge for top spot: rightwinger/ right midfielder, centre forward and a right back.
