Just one of those days today. Had a horrible feeling it might end that way when Dover managed to scramble the ball off their line in the second half.

Dover worthy of a point today. Maybe we were too complacent? No, just a lack of quality in the team. Too many players going for glory and too many looking for long passes when there are easier options etc etc Only Sinclair showed some composure today and only Martin was prepared to take a player on to create some space for others. This kind of result has been coming for a while. Did say on another thread this week we need better quality footballers at the club if we are going to challenge for top spot: rightwinger/ right midfielder, centre forward and a right back. We are in the Conference. Where do you plan to find these players? |

We are 7 points behind the best team in the league... too much 15 goals less than Barnet. Even Telford who are bottom with only one win this season have scored more goals than us. Now that is quite a stat. |

You seem to be a bit aggressive towards me ! I was just giving my opinion. I don't think you'll have many Gasheads agreeing with you that we were much the better team. A draw was a fair result. Rovers had the chance to take the game by the scruff of the neck second half but came up short - poor finishing and creativity around the box. |

I get the feeling this team isn`t yet firing quite on all fours.....which is great, if you look at recent/current form.

I've been thinking for a few weeks now that most teams have a chance against the others. You could probably discount the bottom four or so. But generally there have been some results recently that shows it's dog eat dog in the conference. Altrincham beating Halifax yesterday being an example. And let's face it Dover could have had a penalty and been 1-0 up. It would have been bloody hard to break them down then. I'm sure we'll be back to winning ways on Tueday. Get Angelo Balanta fit and let's see what happens. No need for panic buys..... yet. |

Need a goal scorer, clarke said he has the connections, time he used the inner circle and brought in a striker asap; its obvious Taylor, 1 goal in 13 is not the answer. UTG

We're into October when the table starts to take shape. The goals for will be the difference between hovering around the playoff places and challenging for top spot. We're in a good position for a charge later on as long as Barnet don't pull away. Could be second in the table come Tuesday night. Is Balanta the answer when fit? I don't know much about the guy.

Good progress being made regards league position that's the important thing.
Obviously we need to be more clinical, we had to get that second goal and paid the price. I still don't see a team ready to challenge for top spot, but a hardworking team who are prepared to stick at it. Plenty to improve on imo, but we're doing ok.

That was a disappointing draw for you guys. I thought you were a nailed on 'home' win on the coupon...which is why I left it alone because my track record on 'certainties' is rank! I did my bit to help but it failed. Good to see you're in the right half of the table..only two wins off top spot (ish) ;-) Hope you get back to winning ways tonight. Onwards and upwards.
