Danny L not travelling with the squad today - injury Team selection will be interesting then if Locks is also out, assuming Parts & THD are still out injured and Rollin not match fit for a full game doesn't that only leave JC, TB, & TC plus Kelly unless another Development Squad player makes a start tonight. Might mean we go with a back 3 unless Kelly starts. Not sure I'd feel overly confident with Bennett as a wing back mind you !! |

Agh...O Clarke AND Upson again ! We cannot have both playing in the same midfield. Would agree at home in a 4-4-2. Could work tonight though, especially as Matthews is probably part of a 3 man midfield. |

Seems like a more defensive tactic with one up top so we can try and snatch something on the road. A good chance for Kelly to impress, if he does well here, he might be able to win himself a place at left back at least until THD is fit again.

Looking at the QPR reaction to their team tonight. Its a full on reserve squad. Some of their fans have only heard of two of the players. We must have a decent shout, this is QPR reserves, not man u or arsenal.

Away from home it's surely more about stopping teams scoring than playing attractive attacking football. Although without Lines and Sercombe who do you expect DC to play in midfield? |

I like the look of Rodman but doesn't tickle DC's fancy?! Bennett flatters to deceive - all the gear and no idea (or final ball). We really need a younger Lines, the only player that can turn a game with those runs into the defence (Sercombe can do this but not from the wing). Not sure why we have a raft of battling sideways passing midfielders?! Matthews sounds like exactly the player you are describing. Hope he is back ASAP. Got a feeling he is going to turn into a real gem. I haven't seen him play a full game yet, was gutted he wasn't fit for Sarfend! |
