The problem is if people flatly ignore others and do not engage in meaningful dialogue then it leaves the parties with a false image of the other, further entrenchment of views hardens the beliefs and before long the whole message is lost. If people don't explain then their points of view then you can't then blame the audience for not understanding or failing to agree. I understand what you are saying Stuart but this has generated from a Question I asked which no one has replied to but are more concerned with turning said question on its head, just like politicians oddly enough. I find it hard to believe by the way that there are so many on here who tar Conservative voters with the far right brush. Looking on it, I think it is their ignorant way of justifying the far left which is obviously Labour voters. You are complaining about Tory voters being called far right, yet happily suggest left wing tossers as a password for general chat? I'd suggest neither position is helpful. |
