And it will be voted in if lower league clubs believe their supporters will accept and tolerate it. Those attending are sending out that message, like it or not. The attraction of fielding U23 teams would be considerably greater if real match experience was gained, with supporters a key ingredient in that. They know supporters will never accept it in the league. In a nothing trophy, a lot can accept it. I would never want them in the league. It's a totally different situation. How do they know that Daniel? From their perspective, it's a very reasonable and fair assumption to make that those attending games featuring U21/B teams will do so for equivalent league games. Whilst they might have a view, it's not going to stop them attending games and engaging with the new format. They are essentially voting with their feet in support for U21/B teams entering lower league competition on a permanent basis. It's inevitable future efforts will be made to introduce the teams into the league structure and with the financial stranglehold tightening on lower league clubs, the majority will accept it if they believe their income stream from supporters will stay intact. If you are against U21/B teams entering lower league competition, the only meaningful way to make a stand is not to attend games. Attending games demonstrates acceptance and a willingness to engage.

Because it's common sense. They voted for them to join the league, it was a massive no. They voted for them to join this, it was a yes. League football is different to a tin pot trophy, where attendances were poor already. League clubs won't want it as it will make it harder for a lot to progress. Attendees won't make any difference to that lol

And they will use any footfall in this competition to justify their aims. That has already been seen when Harvey had the neck to claim the attendance at the Coventry final was evidence that introducing U21 teams was a success.
