Just a quick thought. Cant complain at all about our league position at this stage, happy days.
Love the fact its been Sat-Tues games regularly and from a fan's point of view, gives us only a few days till the next one.
I'm assuming the conference organisers cram in as many games before the new year period as possible due to shìt pitches around that time of year and possible backlogs with postponements etc.
Most may find this a strange post as we are winning regularly, I just wonder how much different our performances would be if we had longer to prepare before some of the 15 games we've played so far? Realise its the same for all teams. And what better way for the team to get to know each other.
The points have certainly racked up quickly due to the twice weekly games, but I've heard DC mention a few times now about games coming quickly and the 'wish' for breaks at certain times.
Hoping with 4 games in the next 4 weeks that we can just chill out a bit, take time to really learn where we can improve, freshen up, inject some creativity and see some improved performances where my heart isn't doing 200 a minute by the end.

Hoping we put out a second string in the FA Trophy and get knocked out at the first attempt. League fixtures get moved if they clash, we don't need any interuptions this season.
In saying that, it would be good to get a decent FA Cup run.

A good team go out to win every game and puts a team out to win every game. We aren't Man Unt and we should be aiming for a League and Cup double and that means playing your best team. If your players can't manage that then they shouldn't be playing football.

Frustrating that if we had held on for another 2 mins against Dover we would be 2nd, 2 points behind the leaders.

Our first year pros and Brunt are out on loan leaving Puddy, McCrystal, Leadbitter, White and Harrison. Would we get penalised for fielding the youth team ?

What about some of the clubs with players who have jobs the rest of the week? I bet it's coming too thick and fast for them.
