HaHa, Bonham made a good save as i was typing so i added it on. Happy days hope we can go on a run now. Me too, hope Rodman can find his form as he will add to our attacking play, Jakubiak should start.

Wish we could swap cup results with league results this season. Yeah, those 9 points would put us 8th!

I'm assuming 2 from 4 go through to the knockout stage of this

Anyone hear the crowd? I counted 1759 although a few people wouldn't stand still which made it tricky

Bonham kept us in the game and was my MOM
Rodders had his best half of football for us so far and got a goal to top it off (albeit deflected)
Sercombe passed well from central midfield but not sure I would want to rely on him and Upson as the midfield pair in a league 1 match
AJ looked dangerous and took his goal very well
Matthews did well apart from his final ball
Kelly had an easy game and looked comfortable compared to his last outing at Bradford

After a dull 1st half we stepped up the pace after the break and got a well deserved win. Great goal from jakubiak and kyle bennett and alex rodman really caught the eye. Tidy performances from everyone else although upson was guilty of too many misplaced passes.

Scab report :-
we have to sign this Goalie in January
Leds - poor
Clarke - Solid
Broadbent - ok most of the times
Kelly - Had a good game
Rodman - man of the match
Sercs - slow start got better as the game went on
Bennett - looks flash but NO end product - could not pass the ball for Toffee tonight
Matthews - Quality but one dimensional
Upson - controlled the midfield
Jack - took his goal Well but drifted in and out of the game
Tom Nichols - poor service to him and shots both outside the box
The young un - not on long enough but was out jumped twice
Good game and enjoyed by the 1100 or so SCABS
Onward and upward we go

Yellow card. That joke has already been made. 😂 If it’s a good joke it’s worth making twice. 🤚

Unfortunately it was Bonham again. Saved 3 one v ones. You're right, we need to sign him in January.

Good result - but still couldn’t ever bring myself to attend a game that condones the inclusion of under 21/23 sides alongside football league clubs.

How did Deon Moore look when he came on? I saw him a couple of times in pre-season and thought he looked promising.

Thought the front 4 looked dangerous, nice to see Bennett & Matthews especially try to make things happen. Not everything came off but we looked a lot more threatening tonight. Some tough choices for Sat I thought bar a couple of misplaced passes Upson had a good game & Rodmam looked like the player we thought we signed in the summer.

Another good dose of Northern Soul classics in the build up to the game. I thought we just shaded the first half, but then gathered momentum in the second. Good all round performance but special mentions for: J.Clarke - captain for the night and a calm and assured performance at RCB. Jakubiak - lively with an eye for goal. Dangerous throughout the evening. Rodman - grew in influence as the game wore on. Reminded me a little of Monkhouse. Upson, Matthews and Sercombe all had a good game. Tom Nichols, luke Russe and Deon Moore all given a few minutes towards the end The only out of touch player seemed to be Leadbitter. Overlapped well but not at his best. Their No7, Rhys Browne, was a real t**t. Kicking ball away at free kicks twice in the opening minutes, then a really nasty elbow challenge on Matthews. Subbed at half-time.

He must have something about him to have appeared 6 times for Peterborough as a 17-year-old. I'm looking forward to seeing how he develops as I've got a feeling we could have a gem on our hands.
