Architects of our own downfall! Toothless up front and did not do enough to deserve a point. We have major problems, can't agree with our Chairman saying we deserved a point. Apart from the shot against the post Burton also never looked like scoring so a draw would have been a fair result. Although god knows why we're so toothless upfront. Rodman, Sercs, Matthews and Jak created zilch between them. I've no idea what Sincs brings to the team. |

Most of our players put in the effort today but it was a game of little creativity and a very hard watch.
We were very poor again.

We're a poor side. We have to beat two other poor sides in the next two games or we will be adrift of safety by some margin by the time we are able to strengthen in January.
Someone said something like "you can't be relegated in October" on another thread - well that's true, but a run of poor results against our relegation rivals this month will go along way to making it very very likely.

For about 10 mins before that goal just about all we seemed to be doing was hoofing it out and waiting for it to come back again . Just seemed like there was no outlet to take it to them apart from Jak who was pretty much on his own. It had a certain inevitability about it.

One of those games where if Jakubiak scored it’s a nice 1-0 win on the road. 0-0 a well deserved and hard fought point. Lose 1-0 and it’s terrible all game.
In honesty we definitely deserved a draw. We fought hard and I definitely saw signs of improvement in comparison to recent weeks - although Jak fluffed his one chance, we were much better going forward and looked more dangerous.
2 things that annoyed me at the end though:
Craig for marking yet again for the goal. It’s not even funny. The guy shouldn’t even be in the squad never mind the first team.
Reilly - I like Reilly but what did he do when he came on? When you’re 0-0 away and you come on in the final 15 minutes you have to run run run and run. Force the defender into a mistake, run into space at all times. He did absolutely nothing. Seriously it was pathetic. He just jogged left to right as play moved up and down the pitch. If people wanted Payne’s head the other week they Reilly was 10x worse when he came on

We lost to a better organised side who could string passes together.
Hoofing the ball upfield at every opportunity was pointless. What has happened to the midfield as for large parts of the game they were innocuous.
Next week is a must win match

You forget they hit the bar and the post and our keeper made two very good saves in the first half. I could have kept goal for them and we would not have scored if we were there all night. |

Why is January going to change things that neither last January or the summer did? Either DC has put a poor sqaud together or just can't get them to play how he wants them to play, I can't see January will change anything. |

Feels like a relegation season Nope....it is a relegation season. I always want to be optimistic but watching that and Walsall I have most of that optimism taken out of me. Huffed and puffed, reasonable effort but that’s about it. |

We are truly awful , relegation beckons I’m afraid, sh** tactics , hoofball , this is just like John wards league 2 relegation team. Only hoping for draws , then Dam losing !!!!
