As long as the manager is picking what he considers to be his best team for each game then he is doing the right thing. No point in being manager if he is going to pick your team or anybody elses team is there?
..but surely he has to pick the only striker currently doing what is he paid to do.
For all Nichols nice neat touches what else does he contribute?
Its absolutely mindblowing how he has played so many games and scored so little goals. Some say the service isn't good - Maybe so but Harrison got a move to the Championship with the same service.
Picking nichols might get him the sack but if he truly believes he should play then he should play him. |

Hope we win 8 - 2 ( burton sounds like Brighton), but expect a 2 -1 loss.
Hope Jakubiak is given a start but expect Nichols.

Even so, I believe we have enough talent here, to finish round about midtable. I think that Clarke`s never ending chopping and changing the side, ( especially the defence ) is more of a threat to our League One status, than the board`s unwillingness to give him more money to spend on new players.
I think if you take a look at bottom four teams all over the country you will find plenty of team changes because the selected players have not performed. Truth is if he kept playing the same team people on here would be screaming out for him to make changes or play so and so. Whatever you do as a manager its wrong if your losing and right if your winning so at the moment its obviously wrong. |

Met an ex Swansea pro last week in Ibiza who when I mentioned the Gas,said immediately that Bannister and Warboys were the players he remembered from his playing days. Smash and grab will be many people's favourite/best strike partnership but in my lifetime it would probably be Bruno and Billy Ocean - I'm not saying they were the best but just my favourite! |

Afternoon DC AND GAS EDS,DC thought you would like to know that the eleven players to start today's game, as chosen on another thread are as follows;Bonham,Parts,Locks,J Clarke,Craig or Kelly;O Clarke,Sercs,Lines or Benno,Mathews;Reilly,Jaks, assuming all are fit esp Locks of course, feel free to choose seven subs from rest, these selections will ensure a comfortable 2-0 win for the gas, see ,easy aint it! thats us always happy to help,! good luck to whoever is selected and the travelling gas eds, these 3 points will be the start of our journey to the top ,up the Rovers !
