Why lift the ban? are some fans incapable of not drinking during the two 45 minute spells. As much as I love watching the Rovers, if I was going to get covered in beer every week (or every time we score) I wouldn't go, simple as that.

The worrying about chucking the pint everywhere is no different to someone having a Coke or Fanta currently. As long as it’s in a plastic pint cup and not in bottles that can be thrown I’d be all for it. I genuinely don’t see why they banned it anyway, pathetic rule imo. Surely someone with 4 or 5 pints on board is more likely to spill their drink over you than someone with a coke? If they go down this route I'd like to see "dry" stands where there is no drinking allowed. Really can't understand why someone needs to get watered watching Rovers......I've undone my own argument there haven't I? I’ve had scolding hot coffee chucked over me when we’ve scored before so I don’t think it matters if it’s alcohol or not

No thanks, the last think I want is some fooker 20 mins into the game asking people to move out the way so they can get a beer and then come back trying to squeeze into their place on the terrace. It's not American Football where there are constant breaks or Rugby where there is a constant dirge of sh**e taking place on the pitch I mean, it does work perfectly on the continent. In Germany mainly due to this hero...
Oh and most folk doubling up at half time.

They could just extend allowing beer to the concourses but stop people from entering the terrace itself. Can't see the issue for people in seats.
You might get a few hundred that'll have a beer during the game but I really can't see that many partaking unless they started serving alcohol from the food wagons as opposed to only in the bars

I cannot imagine people walking around with pints on the North terrace. Personally because of what I do I hardly drink anymore, but all those kiddies in the middle who don't drive home will be jumping up and down and yes they will throw beer around and think it's funny. Then I would have to say, is it really natural to eat and drink at 3 or 3.45 on the afternoon. How many people do that on the other 6 days?

*watching Rovers notwithstanding.

I'm afraid the Mem is not one of those.

I'm guessing no one here partakes in a pint while watching non-league then.

I think you’d stay pretty dry this season. Indeed! that what I was alluding to with the comment in brackets! Yes, I thought you were! I’ve always found smuggling a drink in at away games a good option. May be essential for Barnsley as fearing the worst in terms of the result.
