Still pro DC but IF he went, surely Hurst would be one of the ones at the top of the list? Didn't work out at Ipswich, probably a step too high too soon, but his record otherwise is very good.
He's irrelevant right now given we have a manager but I'm just saying is all.

Worrying thing is will one of our relegation rivals appoint him? He's proven himself in this league on little finances albeit over a short period.
Strange game though football, I expect a few months ago DC was looking at Paul Hurst with envy.

IMO he's like DC neither are ready for that level of football yet , he would have done better going to a championship club as a number 2 to learn the trade ar a higher level first

Looks silly now having left Shrewsbury but would have struggled to repeat last seasons form.
Not too dissimilar as to when a certain other Paul came here after losing at Wembley.

Any league one club who sacks their manager within the next couple of months will be wanting Hurst. He will be at a new club before the end of the year.
It’s strange how this time last year we would have been panicking about championship clubs near the bottom of the league wanting DC!
As for Ipswich, their fans will now be wanting a big name with championship experience. They won’t be going anywhere near any league one managers!

Thought he did a great job there and overachieved really, was very unappreciated in my opinion. |

What's he actually achieved at this level, one decent season in Div 1, I'm not sure that's proof he will suddenly turn another Div 1 club around should they appoint him. |

The signing of Ellis looks like a poor piece of business for them now. Although his settling in and finding a bit of form will obviously have hindered that a bit, it didn’t sound like their fans rated him too much before he got injured.
Maybe if he’s not getting game time when he gets fit we could ask about a loan in Jan.
