Agreed, but a loss today would have left us in the drop zone with a four point gap to 19th, and the resulting dent in confidence that may have caused. Three points and plus 3 goals will, hopefully, stand us in good stead between at least now and January when perhaps we can strengthen. We can also now go to Barnet with a bit of confidence and then it's struggling Scunthorpe up next in the league the following week at the Mem. Let's hope it's not another false dawn. Barnet lost at home today so not invincible -2 away wins on the trot will do me and the giddy heights of the 2nd round lol |

Hmm I remember beating, I think, Newport 3 - 1 at home in January 14; everyone was blathering on about having the best defence in the league and John Ward came on the radio and said something like "Who says we need strikers to score goals"?
Look how that turned out. We need strikers to score goals.

Hmmmmm 3-0 away win at Blackpool! I can’t help but think we’ve been here before??? 3-0 at Fleetwood in 2013 was the start of the ground breaking bus and a run that nearly got us into the play-offs. Fingers crossed that we make it this time. |
