Well it'll give OTIB plenty to add to their Rovers dustbin threat about our massive support as we've slipped down the page with all their John Snout out threads. Obviously they don't care about us of course and hopefully we'll beat Barnet so not to add to their glee someone need to go on their and bump it then, we must stay on the 1st page

Mid week, cold, coming up to Xmas, non league opposition who we have played before, I think its a sensible decision.

well only Wets and North tickets are on sale, so I would say yes.
sounds sensible in reducing unnecessary cost if only 3000 are going to be knocking about
So if you want to stand and watch in your usual place you can’t,that’s five of us giving this game a miss. Why don't you pay all the costs involved then like bar staff and stewards so you can get your favourite stand open?

Well, if you East stand and South stand types are planning on entering the Blackthorn end then beware. Us dogs can be very territorial and I won't put up with anyone standing in my usual space. I'm a season ticket holder and I demand that nobody tries to push me away from my usual spot Just mark your territory in the usual way Scoobs. Nobody will bother you then.

One of the reasons i go to the same part of the ground is i can meet/chat/chew the fat with my fellow supporters who i have stood next to for many years... If i cannot do that, then that's another reason not to go and watch the game on ifollow if it's available FA Cup games aren't shown on iFollow. So do you want the club to waste money on stewards etc just so you can meet up with your mates? Personally I'd sooner that money be spent on a new striker in January! Blimey those stewards must be on a wedge 🤑

I have just contacted the club & asked why no tickets for the East Stand - a young girl told me that it's been reserved for the Barnet Away following. I told her that was ridiculous as they will only bring about 10 & asked to speak to someone in charge. She put me through to what sounded like a middle aged gentleman with a dodgy middle eastern accent, he said it was because they were going to knock the stand down & replace it with a super dooper diy one as some people were complaining that the new family stand looked out of place next to the big East Stand. He said they are just waiting for sponsors for the new stand & all options are open, once that is in place the bloke with the meccano set will be working flat out to get it built before the third round. The roof is expected to be on by Easter.

Ha ha, I might just do that. Seriously tho, everyone's welcome in the Blackthorn end.

Tottaly agree Bishopston. I am staggered 5 people won’t go because they cannot stand in their usual spot! Enjoy the game from a different angle, live a little! Beyond belief for me.

I'm a season ticket holder and I demand that nobody tries to push me away from my usual spot I’ll try not to but tbh, i try to sit in the East Stand and if I go in the Thatchers it’s the barrier to lean on or the rails at the back. Hope I’m not in your space scooby. Be nice to us interlopers!! 😉 UTG!

Just another sign of the decline of the FA Cup.
Closing off sections of the ground for a Cup tie?
Replay against a non-league team or not, this would have been unthinkable just a few years ago.
Logistically, it makes sense, but it will kill the atmosphere and the spirit of the fixture.
It might not make a difference to the result, but it is another little dagger in the side of the world's oldest cup competition.
And I'm not really blaming our club. It's just the way it is now. Shame.

I will be sat in a hotel in Cheadle (Stockport)on Wednesday night, following the game on Twitter and text from mates. I am with a Stockport fan for a business meeting on Thursday, so the conversation could be interesting either way.

UTG That’s more important than watching the gas are you related to pantsdown Philip or working for him?
