I see Barnet won 3-1 at Hartlepool on the weekend. I feel disaster coming. We need a cup run to get money to buy players so if we loose tonight January could see no new faces. Also DCs position will be in jeopardy if we loose. So i trust we avert the disaster tonight. UTG

Very important game tonight for a number of reasons. As others have said, we need the money. Also, a win means a game v Stockport which is clearly winnable - more money and the chance of a big game in R3. Just as important is that win (hopefully), lose or draw v Stockport - it is a weekend where we won't have to play a league game and hopefully we can be stronger with some January reinforcements (please!) when it is rearranged.

When I was at the club shop yesterday, some old bloke there was trying to buy three tickets for his place in the West Stand. When told the West Stand was full up, he decided not to bother. I think he needed a seat coz he was quite old, and was obviously very disappointed he had the most expensive season ticket in the ground but couldn't get cup tickets. He'd obviously gone to the effort to get to the Mem to buy his tickets, and had a wasted journey. So istm that's a genuine case of the fans not being served, and not someone (except me, now, I guess) simply whining on the internet or bashing the club. Was there a deadline for ST holders to claim their seats for this game? If not, a very poor job by the club as in my opinion West stand st holders should have had prority and any left over places should have gone to east stand st holders. I have been told that due to the new card system, it is NOT possible for stand season ticket holders to claim their seats in the West Stand. That excuse is a farce, if true.I did not apply for my seat in the West Stand, as I have no interest in this game.

Watched a piece on BT Sport channel about the FA Cup and some non league team owner said that if they reached the 3rd round its Worth £100,000 to them So not to be sniffed at

You could always check physically by looking at a computer screen, or something. That wouldn't make sense in any case: say we draw a decent club in the third round (this is an hypothesis) how would you allow for existing season ticket holders and other priority groups to get their tickets?

That's obviously not all you can say coz you just said something completely different. There was no priority window. Everyone was given the same chance to buy whatever tickets they wanted. So, because of the ticketing arrangements for this game, it wasn't possible to buy your seat if someone else had already bought it. That's completely different to "due to the new card system, it is NOT possible for stand season ticket holders to claim their seats in the West Stand." It's like you're deliberately trying to make an issue where there isn't one. Or putting 2 and 2 together and getting, 'oh my Dam god it's FIVE!!!!5!!'

Got to go with the strongest side possible.
There's a lot of pressure on us for this match. In some ways having Sinclair sent off took that pressure away in the first match as it meant we went from clear favourites to underdogs, particularly after they took the lead. They battered us for the first 30 minutes up there.
Barnet have got nothing to lose and come into the game on the back of an impressive 3-1 win away at Hartlepool.
Smith Leadbitter / Partington J.Clarke Craig Martin / Kelly Bennett O.Clarke Lines / Upson Sercombe Payne Nichols
That's what I'd start with. Not far from the team that started against Scunthorpe because we played well for the first 45 in that game and could have been 2 or 3 up at the break.

DC will have to get the boys right up for this one, massive danger that they are already thinking 'job done' after the first tie.I think we will be concentrating on the league After tonight. 0-1 Barnet.

9.5/1 odds for a Barnet win is surely worth a punt? We've lost 5 of our 9 home games, Barnet are on fire on the road. We've got a tough away game this weekend, and then a crucial game vs Gills next midweek - could rotate a fair bit.

Yep Barnet are really going to fancy their chances after their great win at Hartlepool and seeing our result and current form at the Mem. Not confident at all re winning this one but remember that Friday night and our last minute winning goal so fingers crossed we find some form and do them as we really need a run in this cup to aid the old coffers
