Mildenhall 6 usual display Brown 5 stupid handball for pen,no threat going forward Trottman 7 mom Parkes 5 average at best Lockyer 6 battled hard,no threat going forward Martin 3 what has happened to him Mansell 4 got a foot in now and again, but zero quality Clarke 3 might as well not been there Monkhouse 3 thats for his shot that deflected in Taylor 4 his worst game i have seen Cunnington 3 won a few flick ons thats about it
Leadbitter 6 our only bit of wing play when he replaced the hopeless Monkhouse Harrison 3 ran about a bit
Clarke 1 total lack of tactics and the team seemed flat
Ref 1 poor to say the least Aldershot 5 very average

SteveK ratings:
Mildenhall 6 Did nothing wrong but his distribution leaves a lot to be desired. Not at fault for either goal.
Lockyer 5 Another booking which results in him missing next weeks game. Did very little wrong but also did nothing spectacular.
Trotman 7 MOM Another good display of defending from our number 1 defender. So dominant in the air and a tower of strength.
Parkes 5 Reasonable game apart from giving away the penalty but the problem is that errors are happening too often now and because of this I would say it is affecting his confidence. Seemed a harsh penalty but we were a long way away from the decision and IMO it was totally unnecessary for Parkes to give the referee a chance to have to make the decision.
Brown 5.5 An adequate display but his decision making in the opponents half was poor. I think it was Brown who hit a superb free kick near the end which brought a good save from their goalkeeper and an acrobatic clearance off the line by their defender but it could have been Mansell!!
Monkhouse 3.5 Would have been a 3 had it not been for his goal. Started off looking quite bright and put in a few decent crosses but that was our lot for the game and probably stayed on longer than he should have done as he just didnt get involved any where near enough.
Mansell 5 A poor game by his standards but he is not helped by those around him and is having to spend a lot of time chasing shadows and lost causes. Unlucky with a first half header.
Clarke 3.5 Didn't get involved anywhere near enough and the game passed him by. IMO the midfield is not up to the required standard to be a force in this division and we really need to get a midfielder in who can dictate the pace of the game to play alongside Mansell.
Martin 2 Did nothing whatsoever and even contrived to miss a glorious chance to put the game beyond Aldershots reach with just the keeper to beat and hitting a shot which I am sure was nearer the cornerflag. Crosses he did manager to get in were poor.
Cunnington 5 To be honest the service he received was very poor and it seems to me that we have been playing less and less good football recently and more hoofball. He fought hard but to no avail.
Taylor 6.5 Plenty of effort and moments of good play but again very little final product. A good penalty.
Leadbitter 6 Brought a bit of life to the game and Lockyers booking will probably mean he gets a recall that he deserves.
Harrison Very little time to do anything and therefore have not marked..
McCrystal Same as Harrison
Referee 3 Some awful decisions throughout the game. I am told he missed a stonewall penalty just before half time when Taylor was manhandled and I am sure that Mansell won the ball fairly when the free kick for their second goal was given but who would have wanted to miss the superb finish!

How did 2 teams contrive to produce such a poor spectacle on such a perfect pitch on what turned out beautiful sunny afternoon? Hardly any player seemed to be able to control the football and treated it like a live hand grenade. This team is really not very balanced and very one paced. What has happeneed to Dcs brave substitution decisions?
Mildenhall 5 Woeful kicking resulting in the ball coming straight back to us. At fault with positioning for the free kick otherwise competent. Lockyer 5 Hardworking as always. Some poor passes. Parkes 6 Unfortunate handball. Raking ball created our penalty. Did his job. Trotman 8 Immense again dominant in the air and some great recoveries better on the ground than I thought. Brown 6 Competent not at his best. Great free kick Clarke 3 He's just not very good. Poor control, slow on his feet and in his head. Mansell 7 Did his best with little support from his partner. Missed Sinclair Martin 3 Seemed very flat. Missed easy chance. Gone off the boil. Monkhouse 3 Waste of space on the right hand side. Got an extra point for his fluke goal. Cunnington 6 Worked hard with little service he had, mainly to his head. Taylor 5 Busy sometimes with little effect cost us a certain goal when selfishly shooting at near post with 2 men free at the far. Leadbitter 6 Breath of fresh air when he came on, might have got 3 points if he had come on at half-time. Harrison Bright when came on liked to seen more of him.
Ref.3 Shocking as usual in this league. Wasn't a free kick against us, great tackle by Mansell didn't give blatant pen.otherwise poor. DC 4 This team is a average conference side as set up today. Monkhouse is a lazy so and so and has no place to be on the right hand side. Subs. too late to affect the game

Although, obviously, I wasn't at the game it appears these are the worse player ratings all season. Does anyone have an opinion as to whether the absence of "The Beard" could have made a difference? Could he be the 'glue' that holds us together? UTG!

I'd say he's the best and most important player in the team. The best player so far anyway.
Sinclair Trottman Mildenhall
Our three most important players and all players that will have a big impact if available for any match. Without any one of them at any one time we immediately become less of a force.

Mildenhall 5 time he saved a penalty and bought a cap for the sun. Did ok.
Lockyer 5 Solid but possesses the distribution of a postal strike. Trotman 7 MOM playing to his strengths power, positioning and leadership. Parkes 6 did ok penalty unlucky. Looked tired. Brown 6 Having a consistent season so far no troubles yesterday.
Monkhouse 4 looks lightweight, slow and lacking appetite. Scores goals though. Mansell 6 not his best game 100% effort up against a good opponent. Clarke 4 went missing for large parts of the game shots midfield was classy yesterday in spells. Martin 2 does not beat his man anymore deserves to be dropped IMO.
Taylor 5 not an out and out striker good work rate and link up play. Put away pen well. Cunnington 5 no service good work rate. Gave away to many free kicks.
Subs: Leadbitter 6 good attacking intent. Harrison 5 not enough time to impact. McChrystal
DC 6 Needs a week on the training pitch with the players. Subs reactive rather than proactive. Ref 4 to fussy wanted to be centre of attention. Another poor conference ref. Aldershot 6 surprised me midfield strongest asset, if we were quality up top and out wide we would have caned them. We need a winger and a CF min to make an assault on top spot. Saying that we haven't really fired yet and are sitting 4th.

Although, obviously, I wasn't at the game it appears these are the worse player ratings all season. Not quite the worst, but the lowest for a while. Player ratings at Barnet (4.7), Altrincham (3.8) and Braintree (3.9) were all worse than Aldershot (4.9).

Sinclair Trottman Mildenhall Our three most important players and all players that will have a big impact if available for any match. Without any one of them at any one time we immediately become less of a force. You're not far wrong. The ratings show that our top three players are: Trotman 6.97 Sinclair 6.42 Mildenhall 6.37 Of course, Sinclair is arguably more vital as his obvious replacement Ollie Clarke is averaging 5.30, while Trotman's likely replacement Lockyer is averaging 6.00.
