As ever, football is a game of opinions and everyone is entitled to theirs, personally I don't really care if we get cotterill. I think he could do a job here. Footballs one of the funny industries where past employments and rivalries always seem to make a statement years later. Take out the emotional side of the position and it is just a managers job at a buisness and on that basis we need to take on the person with the most chance of saving rovers. He wouldn't be the first to make the leap across bristol and he certainly wouldn't be the last.
This will make an interesting thread at the end of the year if Cotts does come here, turns it around and saves us from relegation. Those who have said they won't be watching again as long as he's here, would that still be the case then!

Well, people have loads of reasons for not liking him or not wanting him here, but the people who would be happy with him just concentrate on his City job, which, may or may not be a decent reason, but it's easy enough to refute as petty and insular. It's perfectly possible to not want him here for any number of reasons even if he had never been to Ashton Gate in his life.

The fact he managed the sh** wouldn’t bother me if he was a good manager a nice bloke and had more than one brain cell.

Fair points. You don't fancy getting his insights in the 'gems' of interviews after each game either? 😂

My dislike for Cotterill has nothing to do, with his past at city, if the club appointed him, I’d still support my team. I just don’t like his personality or demeanour.

I will go whoever they choose as you still support your team, however his post match interviews are aggressive and would you want to play for him, I doubt many.

Got to say after yesterday’s improved performance and our caretaker bosses interview I’m really looking forward to fleetwood and hope he can get a win and maybe have the job for the rest of the season. He seems like he’s got the personality for a relegation scrap.

I think his net spend when he got City promoted was something like 400k? Not sure the exact budget he’d get here but I reckon he could do a pretty good job

Was watching a fly on the wall documentary at Sunderland. They employ a bloke who’s job it is to read what the supporters are writing on social media and relay it to the management. If we have someone doing that, as surely we must for hamer to be quoting every takeover rumour on here, then that will surely have an impact on whether we go for Cotterill or not.
If you’re reading this Tom - no to Cotterill from me

We all decide if we renew our season tickets or not. But only a drama queen would bother posting it on here.
