What a sh** joke, for our level Clarke was given a solid budget to work with and yet he watered it up a wall, not to mention his whinging persona for the last few months and his record over the last 50 odd games. Are you actually denying that Clarke himself has said he had the biggest budget  So, back to your point... It's clear that DC has been backed by the board financially. I completely agree with you. However, do you think that everything above DC has been rosey? Do you think that the club has been run very badly from the top down? Do you accept that false promises were made to DC that may have effected his job performance? I don't believe that lack of money is the issue that has led to DCs pretty poor calendar year. Do you? |

As Hugo says I believe that the false promises had deflated him and made him angry, which is turn affected his performance in my eyes. Maybe it was the right decision to part ways on that basis. Those, myself included, that are gutted to see DC go, are Bristol Rovers fans that appreciated DC for what he did for the club and for his rapport with the fans and the genuine care he had/has for the club. Its probably one of the reasons it affected his performance, because he felt so let down and felt the fans had been so let down too. For you to describe every person that wants the board to answer for their misgivings, as having an "agenda" is ridiculous. My "agenda" is wanting the best for Bristol Rovers. That doesn't include having a board that lie and go into hiding when the going gets tough. It's not an anti-board agenda at all. If they come out and vastly improve on their communication and provide us with some vision and some goals for the future then kudos to them, they'll go up in my estimation. Try to calm down a little and accept that not everybody on this forum will think along exactly the same lines as you and your mates down the pub, and perhaps we could even have a sensible debate. |

He's definitely made a lot of mistakes this year, that's for sure but my point was only that not all of that was directly his fault.
