Great win and and a good performance so glad we’re finalky playing with some width , they couldn’t cope with our wide players and overlapping fullbacks today we’ve definitely got enough to keep us up sign coughlan up until end of season ASAP he knows the players and had got the right attitude for what we need this season. UTG A word of warning before we all get carried away. Garry Thompson knew the players and seemingly had the right attitude for what we needed in the 2001 season. |

Agreed but Thompson had never actually managed a side, only as an assistant if my memory serves right....
Coughlan does have that quality which Thompson did not

So glad i was there today, love a last minute winner, how they had 10 men on the pitch was a joke should have been nine at least.
Really like the look of Holmes Denis.

True but I’ve got a good feeling about this bloke. Best rovers game I’ve been to in ages. The passion showed by GC and the lads after getting the winner in the 94th minute was absolutely immense. We kicked on and fully deserved to get the three points, Jakubiak, Upson and Rodman had great games and we really managed to play some good football as a team. Hopefully a sign of things to come. UTG

Great win today especially after throwing everything but the kitchen sink at them and hitting the woodwork three times i was thinking it was not to be as we edged into the 94th minute,but we stuck to it and got the deserved winner in the end.
The jubilant scenes at the end and the celebrations were just fantastic. UTG.

First matchday thread I've created! I even got the score right!! Great game! I thought the atmosphere was tremendous, especially after the sending off. I thought Reilly and Jak played really well together, although Linesy could easily have been sent off? Huxtable is easily the worse Referee I've seen. He caused the problem that ended with Joey Barton being sent off and the near riot on the touchline!
At the end of the day it was the correct result and you could see the passion that Coughlan and the players had. Just hope we carry that into the Walsall/Oxford games. I might even start another thread if my luck holds??

He started mouthing off at the assistant referee after we had scored to make it 2-1. From his body language and demeanour it looked as if he was saying some really nasty stuff. Speaks volumes that Fleetwood have decided not to appeal it, the bloke is an absolute prick. |

He was so p*ssed off because Linesy wasnt sent off for pushing their guy who fell over and then we scored from the free kick, that he swore at the 4th official, who reported it to the ref! Foul Language! Instant Red!!

Panic averted for a little while.
We really should have sewn it up earlier. With 10 men and Fleetwood having lost 5 away games on the trot, that was a game we just had to win. And we did, but it was too close for comfort.

What a bunch despicable lady gardens Fleetwood were. Talk about trying to build a team in your own image. They were an utter disgrace. I said at HT to someone I was with if you didn't know which side Barton managed you could easily tell after that first half. |

I thought we deserved to win.
I thought we were poor.
I thought upson was terrible.
I thought lockyer and reilly played well.
Tariq-holmes was limping before he went off which is a worry.
We did play with more width today.
The ref was dreadful as he always is.
We are set up in a very similar style to before as we dont press the ball but coughlan has opted for traditional style wide players.
The crowd were great in the 2nd half.
Jakubiak is lazy.
