Steel is an alloy, thus proving you are, in fact, no expert. Ok smartass.... Is the paint gloss or satin, and is oil based or water based? It isn't going to be water based is it?

If I said paintwork we’d have to count the number of times we hit the stand......now we’re talking. (Excluding tents).

But even if we didn’t hit the woodwork/ metalwork/jumpers or whatever, we would then surely hit the back of the net or in reality the front of the net as the back of the net is nearest the terracing surely? Maybe it’s only right that we can say we hit the side netting, in which case we haven’t scored anyway and may just as well hit the woodwork. Or the metalwork. Or whatever..... Geez this Christmas drink is not good for you I reckon....

Was that the one where their manager got the ground staff to measure it at half time? If I remembere correctly, wasn’t it the keeper who complained, saying he could normallly touch the bar? I reckon Payne hits the bar at the welly every Friday night after watching him on a Saturday.

To be fair, it's covered in paint, so would be more correct to say hit the paintwork. Its not paint its powder coated............

They're not posts, they're crossbar's assistants. Incorrect - They are uprights. Upright posts made from metal holding up a metal crossbar then surrounded by netting which we can never hardly hit the back of ffs.

Christ! Somebody asks how many times we hit the post and an argument ensues as to what the posts are made of! Welcome to Gaschat (the EastEnders version) 😃

Never had this problem at Hillfields Rec when I was a lad. Jumpers for goalposts and no crossbar. Plenty of goals then.
