Bonham 6 looked a bit unsure of himself today with all that punching !
J. Clarke 7 Very solid performance today but needs to learn to pass the ball without to much pace Lockyer 8 Back to his very best today Craig 8 Love the way he uses his head when he has no pace Kelly 7 left exposed to much today with Poxford doing a double team on him
Rodman 6 drifted in an out of the game but gave us width today Upson 7 King of the Midfield today and was everywhere ! O. Clarke 5 looked of the pace today Holmes-Dennis 5 great first 20 mins but left poor Kelly exposed to much
Reilly 6 Ran Ran and Ran his nuts off today Jakubiak 8 MOM looks the real deal today strong as an ox and just a mean
Subs: Sercombe 6 should have passed to Nichols who was clear on the 6 yard line in the middle of the box in stead of shooting Nichols 5 Did what he was asked to do
Crowd 9 Gas Crowd very very noisy today Refs 2 & 3 Oxford 4 Oxford Manager - complete bell end after his interview on Radio Oxford post match

Quite honestly I do not know anything like the posters on here. If I went to every game for a time then if I had half the insight they have then I would be pleased. How you can track all the players and assign them a score? My attention is not quite good enough to do that.
So here are my gross observations.
Rovers were clearly the better team and deserved to win. Their No16 was very good. Oxford resorted to stopping play when Rovers were on top, but dominated before and after the break.
Both referees were very poor succumbing to home team bias which is only natural, but wrong. Strictly speaking they should have had a man sent off for the cut down on the last man through on goal for the second goal.
The lineos were a joke. Both failed to keep up with play and were watching the game rather than concentrating on the line.
MoM was Jakubiak who nearly always turned his man and whose close control was excellent.
The Rovers Support was 10/10 and the portion of the stadium assigned to us full to the brim.

My own opinions from the game.
Bonham 6.5 Not much to save but came for crosses and punched well
J. Clarke 8 Didn't give Oxford anything down his side Lockyer 7.5 Didn't give Oxford any chances in behind him Craig 7.5 Same as Lockyer Kelly 5.5 Overwhelmed at times but stuck to his task.
Rodman 7 Wasn't in the game too much but what he did he did well Upson 8 Covered a lot of ground and worked hard for everything. O. Clarke 7 Similar performance but not quite as good as Upson Holmes-Dennis 7.5 Lots of class (involved in both goals) though faded a bit
Reilly 6.5 Worked hard but didn't really get much out of it Jakubiak 9 Great performance. Battled for everything and took both of his chances.
Subs: Sercombe 7 Had a couple of good moves Nichols 6 Didn't have much time to influence the game
Crowd 8 Refs 4 Both were pretty lenient (to both sides) and lacked control of the game Oxford 4.5 Poor and of limited ability as shown by the numerous passes that went astray

Quite honestly mate, dont be intimidated! Great post. Some on here treat it like a closed club! Say what you think you saw not what others tell you. Also don't think the ones in the know know f**k all. If you're genuine, brGreat turnaround... UTG and keep posting (I gave up because I couldn't be arsed with the grief)

Bonham 7 clean sheet caught his crosses , one shot bounced right in front of him and caused him problems but he had his body behind it. Doesn’t matter how you save them.
James Clarke 8 our best defender and oxford knew it and hardly bothered to attack that side.
Lockyer 7 solid defending poor passing will always be league 1 until he learns how to pass.
Craig 6.5 solid in middle but struggled to help out Kelly and often they didn’t combine well with oxford attacking that side well in first half.
Kelly 6 poor first half overran at times , grew in to it second half
Rodman 7 pace , trickery , creates chances and doesn’t drift in to the middle constantly like bennet does good performance.
HDennis 6 looked shattered but didn’t do anything bad. Right to sub him.
Olly 6 first half looked a bit lost , lots of marking spaces not players and the game moved around him but some great tackles second half.
Upson 8 tough tackling and good direct running and passing
Reilly 7 never stops running and quite a tough tackler really puts himself about and some nice touches to keep possession.
Jackubiak 9 reminds me of Ellis in his best form last season, strong never gives up and a pain in the arse for Oxford all game and two great finishes.
Setcombe 6 tried hard and gave tiring oxford midfielders a hard time with his work rate
Nichols 6 he hardly ever gives it away but that’s all , same as ever good player but a luxury type player.
Coggers 10 great attitude and great subs just st right times
Oxford 4 sh**e at the back and incapable of scoring from quite a lot of chances, reminded me of us this season until Cogs turned up.
Gas crowd 10 outstanding support I’m still doing the conga Oxford crowd 2 only made a bit of noise at 0-0 not the kind to get behind their team when the chips are down . I don’t like them at all but I hope they stay up if we do because we always win at oxford.

Bonham 7 - competent performance
J. Clarke 7.5 - strong performance. Great attitude Lockyer 8.5 - Tom at his best. Read the game superbly and led from the front. Craig 7.5 - Looked good for most of the game Kelly 5.5 - Good in parts but looked the weak link
Rodman 7.5 - good in the air and great feet Upson 8 - One of his best games. Shame that he becomes a liability when up against teams with any pace. O. Clarke 7 - battled hard all game Holmes-Dennis 6.5 - looked tired but clearly a class act. Would be wise to rest him against Burton
Reilly 6 - tried hard but looks a bit out of his depth at the moment Jakubiak 8 - took his goals superbly but still areas where he can improve. At this level his pace is priceless.
Subs: Sercombe 6.5 - glimpses of his potential but looks out of place when on the left and defensively weak. Nichols 6 - did not do much wrong and battled hard
Crowd 8 - great scenes at the end. Great emotion shown by the manager carrying on the DC tradition. The King is dead. Long live the King. The perfect replacement until the end of the season. Refs 6 Oxford 4 - looked a poor side. Wasted lots of good opportunities by overhitting the final ball. The crossbar was on our side for once and our luck could be turning.

Bonham 8 again a strong performance. The one player we should go all out to keep. Worth every penny
J. Clarke 7 can't fault his effort but remains in my mind a squad player at best. Lockyer 8 good battling performance, has developed a good understanding with Craig Craig 7.5 a player whom if he was playing for the opposition we would hate, mouthy, dirty and hard, bordering on nasty. But brings experience and organisation. He maybe what we needed but is a long way from a footballing centre half akin to Andy Tilson. Kelly 6. He will improve, but at present makes too many mistakes. Battled hard yesterday but was beaten too often
Rodman 7 a handful, has pace and height that causes problems, confidence and a run of game will bring out his best but already we have seen a marked improvement. Upson 8 looking the quality footballer, comfortable at this level, can he play alongside, Lines? Our best footballer. O. Clarke 7 not his best game, but exactly what i want to see, a local player given a chance to develop and now regularly holding down a place on merit. Holmes-Dennis 7 no question he has ability but can he stay fit and play a full 90mins
Reilly 7 as long as the team are winning, we should look at the all round performance of our strikers. Reilly didn't have a sniff but chased and closed down the Oxford backline. Jakubiak 8.5 the best I have seen him, two fantastic goals and led thr line well. He looks like he can still do more which may come as he gets fitter
Subs: Sercombe 7 starting to show signs of regaining last seasons form, if he gets close he will merit a starting place. Nichols 6 he needs a goal or 10 to silence his critics. He still keeps plugging away. I would like to see him focused on getting into the box earlier, he often contributes in our build up play but needs to do more to get in position to score.
Crowd 8 the best away support in thf divisipn Refs 6 average Oxford 5 a poor team with little goal threat. GC results dont lie 3 wins out of 4. Contract until thd end of the season must be within his grasp. I would have had Holloway installed as a caretaker after DC's departure, but it is now GC's to lose, a win against Burton should secure the role until the end of season.
