To me it looks as though we are having a domino effect. One rat has left the ship and the others then look to jump too.... So JJ gone, Brunt likely and maybe Lockyer. I expect Lee Brown to go also. Smudge will only go for a decent fee.

I like your analogy. It's easy to stop the domino effect by just stopping one single domino falling... That works with dominoes. So you refuse to let the first player you actually want to keep leave. My point about the analogy is that if you do it professionally, will anyone lower down the 'chain of dominoes' want to try their luck? Maybe, but again, you stop another domino toppling and sooner or later the people who pay the wages are once more in charge of their employees...hopefully...?

This club is important to me because I am proud to stand alongside the other Gasheads who make this club. We have been dumped on by the board who treat us with arrogance and indifference and players who see us as an easy pay day and a decent contract. Yeah pull a domino out and stop the rot, at some point someone has to value this club (us fans) and draw a line in the sand. If Brunt stays I will respect him, if he goes then it says more about him than anything else.

If they can't get their own way, social media will assist them.
