Bonham 7 unlucky on first goal no chance on second.
Partington 7 part of a solid back four. Needs a few more games. Adds much needed height in defence and attack.
Lockyer 7.5 pick of the defence thst largely contained a good posh side
Craig 7 usual aggressive solid game maybe could have got tighter on the first goal to prevent the ball being played through.
Holmes Dennis 7 a good footballer, started to fade in last 20mins
Rodman 6.5 won his headers, perhaps could have pulled back to Nicholls. A bit more end product required.
Clarke O 7.5 superb first half and sublime finish on his goal. Second half some careless passes.and needed to close down on the second goal
Lines 7 we look better with him in the side. Controls the tempo. Not at his most dominating bit worked hard. Should have been replaced for the last 20 minutes
Sercombe 6 a little lost wide but contributed both in defence and further forward.
Reilly 7, chased hard all night but should have been replaced earlier.
Nichols 8.5. Won and scored penalty. Allround contribution was excellent. Continue to play like this goals will come.

Bonham 7 usual game Partington 5 passing and crossing very poor Lockyer 7.5 did well against a very lively attack Craig 7.5 same as above Holmes-Dennis 7.5 brings quality too the left side hope he keeps fit Rodman 7 done a lot of donkey work Lines 7.5 drove us forward O. Clarke 7.5 great goal some silly touches and passes but that’s our Ollie đŸ¤— Sercombe 7 in and out the game but a must have in the team Reilly 7.5 ran and ran Nichols 9 excellent all round game Subs: Jakubiak 5 must put more effort in. J. Clarke nole Crowd 9 excellent well done gasheads Ref 8 best ref at the mem Peterborough 7.5 excellent movement and will be up there at the end of the season. Maybe I'm being hyper-critical but genuinely surprised to see so many positive ratings for Ollie Clarke. I'm usually one of his biggest fans but, aside from an exquisite chipped goal, he contributed very little. Constantly gave the ball away with simple passes that he either over hit and just plain missed the mark of his intended target, totally over-ran second-half (not entirely his fault) and then, when we're chasing a winner in the last minute, just absolutely thumps an off-balanced, poorly timed shot from 30 yards high and wide. Nowhere near MOTM as some (including the BP) have suggested IMO.
Also, Nichols best game in a Rovers shirt. Also also, THD is simply brilliant and he and Sercs look like they'll have a solid partnership down the left (lots of neat one-twos) going forward despite Sercs' poor game.

Bonham 8 a very good game and a couple of important saves. Partington 7 a steady game Lockyer 7.5 kept the dangerous Posh forwards largely quiet. Craig 7.5 same as Lockyer. Holmes-Dennis 8 oozes quality, getting fitter and stronger. Rodman.7 did a lot of the ugly work. Lines 7 pulled the strings in a decent performance, tired in the last quarter. O. Clarke 7 a trademark Ollie goal, a few loose moments but overall decent. Sercombe 6.5 playing wide is not really his game but stuck to his task well. Reilly 7 Ran his socks off,a couple of inches from scoring from a sublime Rodman cross, was understandably knackered late on. Nichols 8.5 M.o.M. his best game in a Rovers shirt ,deserved his goal, maybe this is a new beginning for him. Subs: Jakubiak 7 a good cameo performance. J. Clarke.n.o.l.e. Crowd 7 small but played their part. Ref 7 decent, let the game flow, Peterborough 7.5 the best team I've seen at the Mem this season and in all honesty deserved a point. |
