Ref was utter sh**e but we didn’t win the game because we hardly tested their keeper. Exactly. Ref was awful (for both sides) but he wasn’t the reason for the result Debatable. Don't think Shrews would have seen 70 minutes or so out with 10.

Oh well, we didn't lose ground to anyone. Clearly three points would have been really good, but we're still in there fighting. Perhaps two points in the next two games will keep us outside of the drop zone I'm not sure we're "fighting" hard enough TBH. Burton, Wycombe and now Shrewsbury - just 2 points and very poor performances as the home team.

Never one to blame the ref for a result but honestly that is the worst display I’ve seen down there in my time of watching the gas. Shrewsbury as well absolute Banned word. Really hope they go down. We were very poor first half, much better once Jak and Clarke-Harris came on. Ref was utter sh**e but we didn’t win the game because we hardly tested their keeper. Yes i agree the Ref was a gutless, clueless little sh1t, that did his upmost to spoil a game of football. Tbf they closed us down well and we could not get any sort of rhythm going. Sercombe missed a glorious chance to win it for us but shot straight at the keeper when it looked easier to score. Apart from that we never created anything clear cut.

We were ****ing awful today. Partington had his worst game since arriving at the club. Agogo was shocking and Reilly & Nichols must have begged to be taken off at Half time. At least we offered at bit more in the second half but not enough to win the game. With two defeats pending against Portsmouth (away) and Sunderland at home; it is difficult to see how Rovers can avoid being relegated.

Another home game and we were clueless for the first 45 minutes .... easy game plan for the opposition Press them high and they will just lump it to two little guys up front.
At home JCH should start ... then at least we have some presence up front. I’m not a fan of OC but we misssed him alongside Ogogo today ...Upson May have been a better call than Lines as at least we could have won the midfield fight. Reilly and Nicholls were getting kicked and pushed off the ball constantly and we need our War Machine JCH tto at least keep the ball and lay it off.
Crowd was poor today ... lots of moaning and groaning right from the start and it gets to the players for sure .. wish these people would stay away as shouting at players isn’t going to keep us up.
We deserved a point just ... and are looking better away when teams come at us with the ball rathe than at home when they press us when we have the ball and panic!

We were completely dominated in midfield today. Lines and ogogo were both shocking. Lines was going into 50/50s and trying little flicks. Ogogo not any better. Lesson learned those 2 never to be our midfield 2 together again. And as for partington. Less said the better. Absolutely shocking. How is James Clarke not ahead of him ?

Nice one Victor, shall we just concede the points now? 4 points from the 2 games in my view you’ve heard it first and we are the gas or have you forgot that? Have a bit of faith!

Poor performance overall but an even worse one from an atrocious referee. I would love to know why Ollie Norburn didn't get sent off. Another ref could have easily sent off 4 players today. Shrewsbury wanted an ugly game, and a ref like that let them get away with it.
Nobody stood out today. THD probably our best player from memory. Partington was awful, did he do anything right today? Lines has had it, should be released. Nichols and Reilly disappointing but service up to them was poor. Missed Ollie Clarke today.
At least other results went quite well for us so a point wasn't the end of the world, although 2 points less than I was expecting us to get at the start of the today.

On a positive note however jch and jak looked dangerous together and could be a decent partnership. If GC plays by the previous performance rules both have to start ahead of Nichols and reiily next game.

Just my view but i reckon sercombe will be wide left and i believe he is not suited to playing in a middle two only a middle three. All his managers in his career seem to end up playing him wide, well both rovers managers and oxfords manager anyway. It’s annoying because i’ve always liked 4-3-3 as a formation for us, last few years it seemed to always serve us well. Sercombe fit into that system well too. Only now that we’ve had to revert back to basics and have offloaded our only actual left winger has Sercombe had to go back there. To my knowledge he played almost entirely central in his time at Exeter, and was excellent, but i’m not so clued up on them to know what formation they played. It rings a bell that he used to sit in behind the striker though. I’ve said playing him on the wing is a bit like getting a surgeon to design a house - no doubt he’s talented and could learn over time to do a job there but i’d rather hire an architect and let him do the thing he is supremely good at. He was more effective today when holmes-dennis appeared to push further forward and sercombe seemed to more central.

The only consolation is that other teams at the bottom didn’t win but that is two points dropped and we have some pretty tough games to come. I am worried.

Today proved Sercs can't play left wing, which is a concern as we don't seem to have anyone else who can on the wing.

Poor game ruined by the referee they should have had two sent off norburn and golbourne prior to Edwards, then the constant time wasting Arnold their keeper was taking the pass!
