Istm we ended up against Shrews playing more like 4312, with Sercs in the hole.

Anyone know what the parking is like down there? New ground for me tomorrow.. Do what Hugo said and go down to the sea front. Plenty of parking down there just takes a bit longer to get away from the ground. Plenty of parking on streets around as well. Look on the other thread someone has copied some parking stuff. UTG!

Can't see GC deviating from 4-4-2. Personally I quite like that line up but would prefer Nichols to Jak up top. Don’t disagree, but what 442 manager moves on two wingers go in January and doesn’t bring one in?! IMO our best chance of staying up is to get Sercombe scoring, so need him as close to the opposition goal as possible in my eyes. I agree to an extent about Sercs. We certainly need his goals but I'm not sure GC will change from 4-4-2 or trust Sercs enough to play him in the middle of that formation. He might have to get used to playing on the left and tucking in, unlike Rodders on the other side who can hug the touch line. His season has been interrupted a bit by injury but when he has played on the left he has still had a lot of scoring opportunities but not been finishing them as well as he did the previous season.

Anyone know what the parking is like down there? New ground for me tomorrow.. I'm in and around the area quite a lot, and I think they have a home supporters carpark. Away fans usually use street parking but the area is quite tight and residential so there aren't a lot of restrictions. I'd recommend getting down there early - or maybe catch the train as the station is only a short walk from the ground. Bring your kit, we could do with someone who's in and around the area quite a lot.

I can't see Sercombe playing in the middle of a 442 he's not really played there that much for us. Personally I don't see the issue with him playing from the left he's almost given a free role when we have the ball & him coming inside gives Holmes-Dennis the freedom to overlap. Think a bit too much is made of him having to play in the middle he scored at Southend from the left & could easily have scored another 2 against Shrewsbury. I'd go Bonham J Clarke Lockyer Craig Holmes-Dennis Rodmam Lines Ogogo Sercombe Nichols Clarke-Harris

Possible sub could be sercombe moved to middle to replace lines and bring Mathews on left wing to run at a tired defence.

One things for certain Pompey can attack down both wings with speed, I'd almost be tempted to bring in Sincs to try and protect one of the full backs.

For anyone that does super 6, Rovers are on it tomorrow with the other champions league games. Going for a 3-1 win to Pompey, hoping my bad luck on there makes it so Rovers win

Difficult one as Nichols being a good technical player has shown he can knit the forward line to the midfield well and create goals. Jakubiak did well at Sunderland playing primarily as the lone striker in a game against a quality side. As we can't accomodate both I would start with Nichols alongside JCH

Let’s let them worry about us not worry about them and play to our strengths.
