Bonham: 7. Did everything he had to do competently.
Partington: 7. Stood up well to a good player in probably his best display this season. Lockyer: 9 MoM. Immense. His distribution isn't the greatest, it's true, but boy can this kid defend. Read the game so well and brave too. Craig: 8. As ever, solid and reliable and even found time to bring the ball out of defense once or twice (which did worry me admittedly). Clarke: 7. Like Partington, stood up to a good challenge. That said, might he have been taken off rather than THD?
Sercombe: 7. Worked harder than is sometimes the case, but the trouble with Sercs is that if he's not scoring goals, he doesn't offer a huge amount. Ogogo: 8. Hard working display in the middle of the park. Upson: 8. As per Ogogo, and his lung bursting run back and tackle near the end probably preserved our point. Holmes-Dennis: 8. Caused Pompey problems all evening until he was strangely substituted.
Jakubiak: 8.5. Ran, ran, and then ran some more. Was a thorn in their side all night. His partnership with JCH has potential. Clarke-Harris. 8.5. Ok, the second penalty was rubbish, but he had the bottle to take both and his overall performance was excellent. Looks to be an inspired signing on the evidence so far.
Reilly: 7. Worked hard and held the ball up well when we needed it. Sinclair: 7. Busy and industrious as ever.
Pompey: 6. Looked what they are, a side on a bad run and I think we played them at a good time. I like Kenny Jackett though and hope they go up. My first trip to Fratton Park and enjoyee it...proper ground. Ref: 6. First penalty was a poor decision IMO but looked like he got the second one right (albeit from my view of 100 odd yards away!). Crowd: 8. Good numbers and in good voice, but booing Lee Brown showed a lack of class IMO. GC: Frustrates me. Has definitely got us battling hard and I can accept that our style of play is maybe just something we have to put up with for now. Has also made what looks like a very good signing in JCH. The ability to grind out points is also encouraging in our position. Flipside is his substitutions are odd to me, and playing 4-4-2 having got rid of our only left sided winger is also strange. Really hope he can develop a passing style next season, because when we do get it down, as we did at times tonight, we're a decent side.

Agree with most of above especially in booing Lee Browne. We don’t diss our ex players especially those who put heart and soul in it for us? But excusable as we are battling for points? Upson needs to do more in terms of creative football ; this game would have suited Lines better? Otherwise Lockie MoM. Ref was very good I thought; first penalty soft but defender made mistake and JCH shielded the ball well. Sercs playing out of position?
Bonham 7 - dis all he needed to do
Partington 7 - did good but did not venture forward as much as he normally does Lockyer 9 - superb Craig 8 - very good Clarke 7
Sercs 7 Upson 6.5 - needs to get into game much more Googol 8 - very good first half Tariq 9
Jaku 7 - better control 2nd half JCH - 8 great 1st penalty but 2nd .....
Reilly 7 Sinclair 7
Crowd - Us 9 Them 6 Ref - 8.5 compared to most this season very good Pompey 6 - No pomp!
When running forward, we are better running with the ball directly at defenders and getting them to try and tackle. Also, our passing sometimes lets us down especially simple passes. Overall Game 8.5 - Pulsating because tense and not because of skill level.

Bonham 7 nothing to do but what he did do was good Partington 7 still not sure if he is the right person for the job but did well against a dangerous winger Lockyer 9 - by far the best performance from Captain Tom tonight outstanding defensive display shame about his distribution Craig 8 - Very solid and gave as good as he got J. Clarke 7 - except for the OG had a good hard game - don't mess with James !
Sercombe 5 Very poor from him tonight Upson 6 hell of a battler in midfield just wish he could pass the ball better Ogogo 8 Top man, ran his balls of tonight and never stopped talking to players around him Holmes-Dennis 8 no way we can keep hold of him next season if he keeps playing like this
Jakubiak 7 Again another player who ran his nuts off for the cause and caused their defence a lot of problems when he ran at them Clarke-Harris 8 just what we have been missing from the start of the season, very impressed by his fitness levels
Subs: Reilly 6 did a some good off the ball running and a couple of good crosses Sinclair 6 the normal headless chicken stuff from the beard, we all love him
Crowd 6 Ref 7 Portsmouth 5

My first game for a long while, and trying to see what all the players were doing from a position near the corner at the Milton end being somewhat difficult, but here are my scores:
Bonham 6 - He made a coupe of good but routine stops, however I wish he would come off his line and claim the ball when it whizzes across the goal inside the 6 yard box. I would put the goal conceded partly down to him as he really should have come for it in my opinion.
Partington 7 - Part of a solid back four, although for a tall man he doesn't get off the ground very much to win headers Lockyer 8 - really really solid in defence, but his distribution was woeful. The incident where he seemed to get a bloody nose was, I'm sure, involving their #32 Vaughan, There seemed to be a bit of pushing between them but I looked away just before Locks went down. The Ref did speak to Bogle afterwards, but I'm convinced it wasn't him. Craig 8 - did a great job alongside Locks, with better distribution. J. Clarke - 6 pretty solid but if it was him that scored the o.g. (my thought at the time was it might have been Craig?) then what was he doing trying to hold the player rather than attack the ball (but as I said above Bonham should have claimed it anyway)
Sercombe 6 - flashes of what he could do, but not enough. However he was part of a midfield that worked really hard to stop Pompey Upson 7 - he and Ogogo battled really hard against a pretty good midfield of Pompey's Ogogo 7 - as above Holmes-Dennis 7.5 - some great stuff from him especially as it isn't really his position, surprised to see him subbed
Jakubiak 8 - worked very hard and ran, should have shot when the goal opened up before him Clarke-Harris 8 - as Jaks, really is a handful. Would have clearly been more but for that second penalty. He went down with a knock or cramp a few minutes before and to me seemed to be still hobbling a bit when taking the kick. He certainly looked tired at the end.
Subs: Reilly 7 - ran hard and ensured the Pompey defence couldn't start off any moves Sinclair 7 - again ran hard to snuff out the Pompey midfield
Crowd 7 - pretty good, noisy at the start and end, very nervous in between. No need to boo Browner imho. Ref 5 - seemed to give free kicks randomly, both ways, as seen in the first few seconds Portsmouth 7 - I thought they were quick tricky, got the ball down well in the middle of the pitch and had good wingers, which we did well to contain. Their centre halves hoofed it just as much as Locks though.

Agree with the ratings, and I loved lee brown but the two games he’s played against us, there’s been no love shown to us, his reaction to clarke-Harris yesterday was embarrassing, here’s a link if you want it!

Bonham 6 not much to do Partington 6 ok performance except never closes down the winger enough and it cost us a goal last night. Lockyer 8 brilliant defending poor passing , that’s why he’s still league 1. Craig 8 same as Lockyer Clarke 7 very good again , deducted a point for score own goal under pressure
HD 8.2 our best player on the night, dribbling, clever flicks , class act Sercombe 6.8 some nice stuff but not in the game much out wide he never is. Upson 7 some very good tackles bit of an all rounder not as creative as lines but the better option away from home. Ogogo. 6.7 reminds me of olly Clarke , good player but game passes him by too much and it did last night and v shrews only two games I’ve seen him.
Harris 8 just what we’ve been looking for, big , strong , confident and scored on his full debut, all players miss penalties. Jakubiak 6 ran hard all night but needs to learn how to look up and read the game, last night reminded me of Ellis before he came good and most of his performances have been like that. Alright in a straight line with his head down but could be very good if he looked around a bit more.
Cogs 8 got it pretty much spot on again, likeable bloke tells it like it is similar to DC in that way. Pompey 6.5 wouldn’t think they were third watching that . The player who went back to milwall must have been a hell of a player , unless it’s just coincidence.

Results in and Tom Lockyer was Man of the Match with a score or 8.17 his first of the season.
Holmes-Dennis was runner-up for the fourth match in a row, the first time any player has achieved this feat. Other players have been RU or MotM in four consecutive games before and Tom Broadbent was runner-up in four of his appearances from Walsall away to Doncaster away last season but was dropped for games inbetween the sequence.
The starting XI average was 7.16. This was the fourth highest rating for a drawn game after Bolton away in 16/17 (8.5), Exeter away in 15/16 (7.5) and Wigan at home in 17/18 (7.3).
Bonham 6.8
Partington 6.8 Lockyer 8.2 Craig 7.6 J. Clarke 6.9
Sercombe 6.2 Upson 6.8 Ogogo 7.3 Holmes-Dennis 7.8
Jakubiak 7.1 Clarke-Harris 7.3
Subs: Reilly 6.3 Sinclair 6.2
Crowd 7.3 Ref 7.3 Portsmouth 5.5
