Release clause? How does that work then? Is it like football manager where a minimum fee has to be reached by a bidder which we have to accept?

My guess is that he had a clause in his contract that stated he could leave for free if we were relegated. What happens though if we're re-instated following the Wycombe saga? Does he have to re-join us?!  Seriously though, good riddance to an overpaid, petulant prima donna who never once matched the heights of his loan spell with us. Arguably one of the most overrated players in our history. |

I personally like John Jo but if his heart ain't in it and he wont fight for the Badge and Club then maybe its for the best.....
I wish him well and its not entirely his fault we now play in the Tinpot Premier Skrill League, other players & managers & Directors must shoulder that blame.

Good, off the wage bill. can't believe anyone thought we would get money for him 15 goals in a relegation season and still under contract. I agree I am glad he's off the wage bill but surely we could have got a fee? |
