There are times when a game is soo bad that you can end up saying things that you wish you hadn't said especially after a long journey for a Tuesday night game and last nights game was one of these and probably all I could say about the performance was that it was one of those what have become rare occasions where very few players turned up and erven those that were slightly better were nowhere near their best. I could easily find criticism for every player in some form but am just going to leave it that it was a bad night at the office and try to remain optimistic that last night was just a blip.
I will limit it to I was grateful that our Goal Difference is only -3 still but to be aware that our results against the top seven this season (and I understand the last couple of seasons have been similar) is P 10 W 0 D 2 L 8 F 5 A 20 Pts 2 so going on those results we can pretty well write off our games at home to Luton and Barnsley and hope to get the possibly required two wins and a draw from the other 5 games!!
Bonham 4 Awful Clarke J 6 Strong Lockyer 4 Awful Craig 4 Awful Holmes Dennis 2 absolutely Terrible Upson 6 The best of an pretty terrible midfield that was totally exposed by the formation change Clarke O 4 Awful Ogogo 4 Awful Reilly 4 Tried hard at times Jakubiak 4 same as Reilly Clarke Harris 6.1 MOM Although really no one was!!
Partington 4 Was better with him on than Holmes-Dennis but not anything better than most who were on the pitch Sinclair 5 Usual Stu tried hard and should have been on earlier Moore nole but showed in a couple of minutes that there could be some potential there and might be worth trying him and Clarke-Harris together
Crowd 3 only the brave turned up Ref 2 wasn't the cause of the result but didn't help things with constant decisions that favoured the home side. Donny 8 in truth were good but didn't really need to be and their current form shows they are not really that good and have been our bogey team this season.
GC If DC had been in charge we would have had two or maybe even all three substitutes on after half hour. Sorry GC but you dithered and got it wrong from the start. Thats all I will say other than I won't be too harshand hop-e he learns from it..
next game is against Luton and I really dread what they will do to us this time. My head says a 3 or 4 goal mauling,my heart says a 1-1 draw . UTG

Jakubiak same as Jacubiak. That really is a scathing assessment.

Good report of a terrible game Steve pretty much as I saw it probably right that DC would have made changes earlier, but imo it's unfair to compare GC has his methods and like DC sometimes gets it wrong, in this case disasterousely so.

Apart from the hit on our goal difference the major impact of last night must be on our confidence. Let's hope we can go back to our proven formation and team and put a solid performance in against Luton. If we get another drubbing it's going to be a scary run-in

Tbh, I think 4 for a lot of those players is generous
If Donny are our bogey team then it's vital we stay up this season so we can play Blackpool again next season

Thanks for your report, I thought THD looked lazy or unfit at Plymouth For some reason he looked slower than before, unless he was against quicker wingers both games. I know after muscle injuries, you can hold back slightly when sprinting, incase it goes again. A psychological thing. He looked good earlier in the season, but suprised Kelly was dropped, when we were looking strong at the back.

Coughlin made the same mistake as DC, he thought we had players capable of playing 4-3-3, and we haven't. He should have stuck with the tactics that he has used at away games before. Having said that it does show how bad the midfield is. What has happened to Ollie Clarke?
Suggest 4-4-2 for Saturday

I would change James Clarke from strong to STRONG ARM -he really is cutting it fine sometimes.

HD was so weak last night -hope it is a one-off blip because he is class in L1.

James Clarke never lets us down even when all around look like Downs league players.Linesy not even on bench but we were crying out for the Linesy of old. In other news ,my( amateur) village side ,Eccleshall who play in the N.W .Counties league have been given a grant of £28,000 to provide disabled toilet facilities and Wolves have announced plans to build another tier on a stand.Different ends of the spectrum but does make me realise just how stagnant as a club we are.Felt very deflated last night.

I don’t know what was going on with THD last night? But it was very worrying, that kid had him on toast all night! To be fair though he looks a good player :wan£er:

We have been on a good run with Nicholls up front not scoring but playing well alongside JCH. Neither Reilly or Jacubiak are good enough to start. So we have a manager who plays them both!
If we needed to change formation i would have gone 5-3-2. Leave Alfie kilgour in alongside Lockyer and Craig. Width from the fullbacks.
Saturday needs to be a100% improvement or the goal difference will disappear.

Wolves are top half of the premiership with money Don’t get what your getting at?

Simply Paul that at all levels from Amatueur to Prem ,clubs all seem to be progressing even though that term is of-course relative. We are certainly NOT progressing and are being left behind more and more with smaller clubs showing us the way.
