I was there probably 30 years ago and we were under strict instructions to not even look at the local women, yet alone think about talking to them. A jolly romp was out of the question.

I think some of these countries are in a bit of a competition to be the most fundamentalist.
Very sad to see such medieval practices happening in the 21st century.

I was there in 2012. We were delivering an educational programme to local employees of Shell. We chose to respect rules we could not agree with and, in discussion, local employees were very up for a political discussion. Needing a beer we drove across the border to Sarawak, a town called Miri. Dont listen to ill informed squaddies on tour.

Try and answer without asking a question though, I know its difficult!

I am an atheist. That should give you an insight. What I find laughable is the rank hypocrisy of the non Muslim west. So what's your informed insight? I realise expressing that may be difficult for you.

Have you fought with distinction for your country? Don`t make me laugh. Have you had a medal pinned on your chest by Arkan? No, you haven`t. Would you have the nerve to enter a war zone, armed only with a fully automatic machine gun, and 10,000 rounds of ammunition? Never on this Earth.
Have a care. Nobby can kill with his bare hands. And his bare feet.

If the people you admire so much found out, your head and your body would occupy different post codes. True or false?

I do not admire them, far from it, the complete opposite. What though is laughable is the self righteous indignation of many here in the UK and as represented on this minor forum. Ask yourself, ask others, Alan Turing. What was he famous for, what did he achieve and what did "our" government do to him? Then claim moral superiority.

Why was I 'ill informed'? Tsk, what is this 'squaddies' nonsense? It was nice that Oldie could pop across to Sarawak for a nice cool beer drank in a free country. I don't suppose he ever took any notice of historical events, like the 'Raid on Limbang'. Raid on Limbang, Sarawak.

Baffling that things like this still exist (and get adopted) in 2019!

So if you saw 2 chaps playing hide the sausage you would have reported them to the authorities? As for Alan Turing his treatment was disgraceful and barbaric, thankfully we have moved on as a country since then and homosexuals are not persecuted unlike Islamic countries worldwide and Islamic communities in the west.

I`m sure that Allah will explain it all to you, when that sad day arrives. Not sure what sort of penalty, Oldie will have to pay though.
I`m no expert, but I`m pretty sure that Allah takes a very dim view of apostasy.

Turing was chemically castrated by our wonderfully liberal government. I am sure your parents wrote to their MP expressing the same level of indignation you Express here?

Btw, I dont relate having a cold beer with being free. That's a bit puerile isn't it?
