I am an atheist. That should give you an insight. What I find laughable is the rank hypocrisy of the non Muslim west. So what's your informed insight? I realise expressing that may be difficult for you. An atheist who converted to Islam for pecuniary gain. In their eyes, you`re an apostate. If the people you admire so much found out, your head and your body would occupy different post codes. True or false?

I`m no expert, but I`m pretty sure that Allah takes a very dim view of apostasy.

As for Alan Turing his treatment was disgraceful and barbaric,thankfully we have moved on as a country since then and homosexuals are not persecuted unlike Islamic countries worldwide and Islamic communities in the west. No need to be confused Hugo.In Somalia the punishment for homosexuality is death, the people of Somalia have these values ingrained in them and they pass them down to their children.Bristol has a large Somali community that live by the values and customs of their homeland.
They are from the third world and bring everything that is bad about the third world with them and we have to accept those values or risk being called a bigot or a racist.

I would hazard a guess that Islam has adversely affected me more than you? I merely point out to gammons like you that in my lifetime we, in the UK, were chemically castrating men. I went to live in an Islamic country a mere six years after homosexuality ceased to be a crime here. So for me, the timelines are not as extreme as you try and make out. Can I also remind you that Brunei was under British control until 1984 (and since 1888). I wonder why we were so interested in such a small piece of real estate?? |

There is one aspect of the Brunei case that the politicians and MSM are tip-toeing past. The one thing that they dare not mention.
Now, there are a number of countries, not just Brunei, that have either the death penalty for homosexuality, or severe penalties like whipping or caning. I will not list them here but they all have one thing in common.
Any ideas?
