Ta muchly. 😉 If you`re struggling a bit, maybe it`s time to cut your cloth etc. Lidl do a Shiraz for a most reasonable £1.10. Not sure grapes have anything to do with it, but it`s powerful stuff. I had two glasses and slept for 14 hours. Give it a go.

That's not reasonable, and probably something other than advertised. Ever been to the city? It's quite beautiful.

I have always fancied seeing Iran. The country looks appealing; the madmen in charge, less so. Perhaps, one day.

Go, you might find the locals more upset at the nutters in charge than you are. Shiraz is a lovely city, once the home of the largest Jewish enclave in the area. They were allowed to produce wine for their own consumption as long as they didn't sell it to Muslims. Hence the use of the name for the wine.

Been checking out my finances recently, and to my intense gratification, early retirement looks a possibilty. The woman who runs the photo shop where I take my snaps, is originally from Iran. Very interesting woman, and I always have a good chat with her. She said the locals have little time for the rulers, but they have the biggest fists, and that`s why they`re the rulers.
She converted from Islam to Christianity, ( a fact that I advised her, not to share with too many people ). I wasn`t even that keen on her telling me about it, and for months afterwards I let my wife open any parcels from Amazon.
But she always extolled the beauty of her native country, and I`ve long had it in the back of my mind, that I`d like to see it. I`ll look into it further.
